<div style="text-align: center;">
This is SO strange, and buy 'this' I mean sitting down to type up a post.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
*waves* Hi, guys! Let's cut to the chase because I think I may have more to say than I think I do. I haven't blogged in AGES- almost two months, which doesn't sound as long as it seems, but it is. I came back from Disney World and then BOOM - classes begun once again and I was determined to do well this semester. Not only that but my blog was slowly starting to stop being my happy place. No matter how many times you can read "it's not about the numbers," I was sub-consciously being consumed by page views, post views, amount of comments, and of course, how many people were following me. I was constantly comparing myself to other blogs and, seriously, no matter how many times they say "don't do it!" you just can't help it. So no more of that. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I started blogging at a point in my life where I needed a place to talk about and connect with a few people who loved something as much as I did. At this point, I need my little space on the inter webs back more than ever. Make up is a creative outlet that just makes me happy and relaxes me. I'm also quite good at it, and I've never been a person to think they had talent in something, but with make up, I think I have some chops. I'm still in school and it's becoming harder and harder to stay focused when it feels as though everyone else around me is working towards something and I'm just there for a degree- in and out. I've talked with my mom and we've agreed that once I'm done getting my Bachelors, I'm going off to make up school to do what I love and something I can get better at. Having this realization kind of sorted out all the messy puzzle pieces of my future and I feel like the puzzle of my life is slowly starting to put itself together, at least for now. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I want to get back in the swing of things of my hobby. I miss it. I love doing it and it's not something I've ever wanted to be more than that. From now on, I'm getting back to that- blogging for me and those that want to come along. Stay tuned for make up, favorites, inspired and creative makeup looks, life, and whatever else I fancy!</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>See ya later! ;)</b></i></div>

<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ydHgtfSi9W4/VAOyWUL7_rI/AAAAAAAAJU0/SYznNK6r08M/s1600/IMG_5375.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ydHgtfSi9W4/VAOyWUL7_rI/AAAAAAAAJU0/SYznNK6r08M/s1600/IMG_5375.JPG" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
*dances* it may seem a little strange but I'm so excited to type this post because of the things involved and I'm surprised at how photogenic every thing was. If you haven't been keeping up, a few weeks ago I took a teeny tiny vacation to magical place that is Walt Disney World in Florida. You can read about my time at <a href="http://bit.ly/1ppUGF6">Hollywood Studios here</a>, <a href="http://bit.ly/1sSYw7f">Magic Kingdom here</a>, and then <a href="http://bit.ly/1A5HOnK">Islands of Adventure/Universal Studios here</a>. So of course I managed to grab a few goodies for myself whilst I trekked in and out of the shops. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
At Downtown Disney is where I found my oh so sought after sequined <b>Minnie Mouse ears</b> at the <i>World of Disney</i> shop (it was heaven, and I want to spend a whole day there!) I've gone to Disney plenty of times but for some reason never had an urge to sport them (probably because I thought they were super expensive, which, some are, haha) but this time, even before we got to the parks, I was all over it. I absolutely love them and loved wearing them all through Magic Kingdom. I couldn't even bear to pack them in fear that they'll get squashed. The materialistic adoration is real here folks. Oh shoot, I actually forgot to include the pins I bought at the parks. Never thought I'd be a person to enjoy a pin but it was way too cute to pass up. You can find a picture of them by <a href="http://instagram.com/p/sAcU-FprqU/?modal=true">clicking here</a>. It's currently attached to my school bag so I can carry the cute every where I go, and explains why I forgot to include them. The pins with Mickey and Minnie kissing were given away as a gift. The last thing I picked up at was a <b>Minnie Mouse shaped, bright pink, pen</b>. I am an absolute sucker for them and usually come away with way more than just one, haha. I'm growing up-dang it. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So what I was really hoping to find at World of Disney were Tsum Tsum's and the Alex and Ani Disney inspired bracelets. I found neither. World of Disney is a HUGE store (no exaggeration) so it may be that I just walked right past them, but I'm not sure if they have them there or not. Tsum Tsum's, for those who don't know what the heck I'm talking about, they are these newly released stackable plush toys that look like your favorite Disney characters (not all of them, unfortunately) and you can get them in size, mini, medium, or large (which is, also, HUGE) Whilst back at Miami, my sister and I actually came across a Disney Store at the marina that had them and we raced to get them. She cried over the cuteness overload, haha. I got the classic duo, <b>Mickey and Minnie Tsum Tsum's</b> in the mini size and my sister proceeded to get Daisy, Donald, and Pooh. Pooh was meant to be a gift, but she HAD to keep him, haha!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Like said, I couldn't find the Alex and Ani bracelets <i>anywhere</i>. I think I may have saw them at one shop on Main Street in Magic Kingdom but I was so hot, tired, and ready to push my way to a good firework viewing spot that I didn't care to double check (would've save me the *8 shipping though -sad face-) Anyway, I ended up ordering the <b>Cinderella's Castle Alex and Ani Disney bracelet</b>. I was debating on getting the Minnie Mouse one they had with red and silver polka dots, but I think I've got enough Minnie themed things for one year. Plus, I liked the simplicity of just all silver and I've got a much stronger connection to the castle and Magic Kingdom.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Lastly, is a not so Disney themed purchase, but a Harry Potter one. I explained it a little bit in my post on Universal Studios, but we basically had the VIP Express tickets to the parks for the day. They were paper tickets that you show to cut the line of almost every ride. So what people do is carry them on snazzy lanyards with a plastic insert for the ticket. Of course I didn't think to get one before we got on the crazy water drenching rides (more about that in the post, haha) but when we got to Diagon Alley and I saw it in the shop, I knew I had to have the <b>Hufflepuff lanyard</b>. I don't have any Hufflepuff themed items and that's my Hogwarts house, as told to me by Pottermore (#harrypotternerdsforthewin) I had the Gryfindor scarf already, so I didn't want another one. Didn't need a keychain, nor did I need a pin (barely knew what to do with the Disney one!) so the lanyard was the greatest solution. I wore it proud for the rest day and I'll be bringing it back with me, along with the Minnie ears, on my next trip there!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

And with that, the Disney World fun concludes. For now, at least ;) I hope you guys enjoyed reading these posts and this little mini haul as well. I'm surprised at the amount of stuff I didn't get, honestly, haha, especially stopping at only two Tsum Tsum's because they are way too adorable not to! But now I want to know...<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>What are you favorite things to pick up for yourself at the Disney themed parks?</b></i></div>

<i><b>Also, what Harry Potter house are you in? </b></i></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
So on our last day in Orlando, we didn't go to a Disney themed park, only because, besides Disney, I'm a huge Harry Potter nerd. There was no way I was missing out on the glory that was going to be Diagon Alley and the Hogwarts Express (although I did end up missing out on the former, BOO HOO D:) Anyways, my dad so graciously agreed to get, not just the 2-Park Admission, but VIP Express so we can run through both parks without having to wait on the lines. We started in Islands of Adventure working our way through Marvel SuperHero Island and having quite a long stop at Toon Lagoon. First we got soaked at the Congo rapids style Popeye ride, so we thought we should absolutely follow it up on the Ripsaw Falls, where we got absolutely drenched. I think I saw water in the shape of a fist just smack the whole of the left side of my body. It looked like I had just gone for a swim. So of course we had to spend a nice amount of time drying off and no way did we want to spend $5 for a drying service, haha! Good thing we managed to take photos before all the water madness, otherwise we would have looked like wet dogs in all those photos, haha.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<i>THE</i> most refreshing strawberry and lemon slush to have ever existed in the entirety of the world. They only had it at the Marvel Superhero Island so I couldn't get another once it was finished. Also, a worker at the park made me throw it out because I couldn't get on a water ride with a drink. Of course, I hid it and she was right pissed when she saw me emerge off the ride to retrieve it, haha! </div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
After spending the amount of time that we did at Toon Lagoon, I was like "forget Jurassic Park" (I know, terrible, but they had another water ride there that no one was fit to go on anyway) We rushed through Jurassic Park and *angels sing* we were at Hogsmeade. I always walk through the grounds super star struck, as does my dad. The detail is just impeccable which, it turns out, if you're not the biggest Harry Potter nerd, you can still totally appreciate. I was super excited to get on the Hogwarts Express, which was quite magical, but a little tarnished by a small family who had children that wanted to hog both sides of our small compartment. There was plenty of room for them to fit on one side, but of course, their parents said NOTHING and I didn't either, but, there you go. When we finally arrived at King's Cross Station we had a traveler with us, I won't say who, but she way quite cross herself. So I couldn't totally appreciate where we were. Plus, we couldn't, for the life of us, find Diagon Alley. We were walking around like angry chickens with their heads cut off.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Luckily (LOL), Anthony happened to <i>also </i>be at Universal with his family so we met up and he showed us the majesty that was Diagon Alley. Super clever and creative way to hide this park, but dang, I wish there were some signs! Again, didn't get to spend too much time here (or any at all) but I managed to snap a picture and quickly pick up a Hufflepuff lanyard to proudly house my express pass. We ended up meeting up with Anthony's family and riding through a good chunk of the attractions at Universal, one being the Hollywood Rip Ride RockIt roller coaster, which was a blast (and got stuck, haha!) After that, my dad, sister, and I were super hungry having not eaten any lunch or dinner yet, so we took the trek through the rest of Universal, City Walk and back through Islands of Adventure to end our day at The Three Broomsticks. It was a trek, but so worth it because the food there is delicious and portions are monstrous. Plus, I ended the day with my very first Butterbeer, which tastes surprisingly delicious and refreshing!</div>

So that's it folks. My small Disney vacation that just has me itching to go back very, very soon. Especially to fully immerse myself in all that is Diagon Alley, and also spend more time at Downtown Disney, which I went to for the first time this year but of course, right before they were closing. I hope you guys enjoyed these posts. I have one more Disney post left in me that I'm almost certain you guy will enjoy seeing/reading. After that, it's back to life and beauty reality!</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
So there were two things that <i>really</i> made my day in Magic Kingdom. Super-awesome-sequined Minnie Mouse ears and running into my boyfriend on the edge of Main Street. Magic Kingdom is my favorite from all the parks. My dad would say it was designed mostly for smaller children and I would say that it's the one filled with the most magic. I had my Minnie ears at the ready and practically skipped through the entrance of the park. Anthony (the man friend) was on a separate vacation with his family in Florida but we somehow ended up going to Disney on the same day. I was so happy because we got to take a picture by the castle together, which okay, was totally wicked and is now probably my favorite picture of us (as well as my desktop screen saver and iPhone background. Yeah, I'm <i>that</i> Disney obsessed girlfriend, haha!) </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
We made it onto most of the rides and attractions excluding the really long lines for the more small rides (I'm looking at you Peter Pan) My dad kept stopping for a smoke break every five feet and on one break we ended up near the back entrance of Cinderella's castle, which, if you don't know, is where the Bibbidi Bobbity Bootique is. YOU KNOW, I already have plans of taking my future daughter there since I am too old to partake in the princess festivities. BUT, I really want to thank one of the fairy god mothers in training there. My sister and I were standing by the entrance just admiring the costumes and little girl's running around with super sparkly hair when one of them approached us asking if we had any questions. I politely told her "no" and that I was just admiring the "pixie dust" and in 1.5 seconds she was asking me IF I WOULD LIKE SOME PIXIE DUST. 20 seconds later and the fairy god mother in training was waving a wand full of glitter over my head. I proceeded to spend the rest of the day with a crap ton of glitter in my hair, but mostly on my chest. It was absolutely magical, haha!</div>

I'm having Disney withdrawals already. Someone, please, TAKE ME BACK. Truth be told I've been having withdrawals since last Thursday. My trip was set for Miami, but knowing I'd be in Florida, I couldn't resist BEGGING my dad to take my sister and I to Disney World for a small chunk of our vacation. He obliged and so from Miami we ventured off to the most magical place on earth! We got a pretty late start when we left on Monday but still managed to get to Hollywood Studios by 12 in the afternoon. I was afraid we'd miss out on some things because we got a "late start" but we managed to go on pretty much every show and ride by 7 PM! I love Hollywood Studios and it's in my top two because Tower of Terror and Rockin' Rollercoaster are some seriously great rides! Also, Star Tours holds a little place in my heart because I ran away from Chewie there when I was in Disney at like 8 years old, haha!</div>

I didn't actually get to go on Toy Story Mania because I had a fast pass for Tower of Terror that would have expired by the time we got to the front of the line, but I still loved catching a glimpse of this scrabble board! I left my sister and dad on the line (which they said was so not worth the 80 minute wait time) whilst I went of Tower of Terror alone, making friends with an Asian couple that could not speak a lick of english. They were cute though ;)</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Today's glitter look is inspired by the upcoming season, my favorite season, Autumn. Lit Cosmetic's glitter in <i>Soul Sister in Size #03</i> was the perfect glitter to use. When I first saw the different colors and shifts in this particular glitter I was instantly reminded of the leaves transforming from green to gorgeous yellows, golds, and browns. I used <i>Soul Sister</i> on top of some dark brown eyeshadow on my lower lash line. This is my favorite way to incorporate glitter into any of my looks because it's subtle. It's still a fun pop of glitter but without being too crazy and flashy, just a nice little accent. You guys can see me use this "technique" with a lot of my sort of inspired looks. <span style="text-align: justify;">If you'd like to see close up swatches of this shade and the others in my collection, as well as my review on Lit Glitters, I'd suggest </span><a href="http://www.themodmermaid.com/2014/08/lit-cosmetic-glitters-review-swatches.html" style="text-align: justify;">clicking here</a><span style="text-align: justify;">. <div style="text-align: justify;">
Today's glitter look is inspired by the night. Lit Cosmetics' glitter in <i>Nightlife in Size #03</i> makes the perfect blinged out eyeliner to sparkle up a night time look. The multi-colored glitters set against the black just make me think of a bustling city with all it's super bright lights- something you'd find in Times Square or o the strip in Vegas. Placing <i>Nightlife </i>on top of a pigmented black eyeliner really makes the multi-colored glitters stand out. Then placing that same glitter over top just a shadow helps add some subtle smokey-ness to the look, as well as shine. It's super subtle despite all the craziness of the colors mixed in the black that you could wear this to enhance a smokey look to go out, or on it's own for just some jazzed up eye liner.
Today's glitter look is inspired by bright and sparkly color. When you think "glitter", besides being super sparkly, you always manage to think bright and colorful. Using Lit Cosmetic's glitters in <i>Goober Grape in Size #03 </i>and <i>California Soul in Size #03, </i>I went glitter bananas for this look. Seriously, I packed on so much glitter that I would blink and it would just rain sparkles. I wanted it to dazzle and be seen from a mile away, which is what I got. This look, to me, is the epitome of summer. Bright, in your face, and really fun! It's def. not one of the most wearable looks that I've come up with (my mom called me to move my car whilst this was on my eyes and I had to get my sister to do it, haha) but it just makes you want to smile.
Today's glitter look is inspired by the wondrous Wonder Woman and features the glitter from Lit Cosmetics named after this super lady! I picked up <i>Wonder Woman in Size #02</i> at the NY IMATS of this year. If you don't know, my boyfriend is Superman, or Superman is just his favorite superhero, I forget which ;) haha! Either way, when I picked up this color at the Lit Cosmetics booth and swatched it, I was in love. When I saw that it was called <i>Wonder Woman</i> it would have been almost criminal to have left the convention without it. The make up look in this post is inspired by Wonder Woman and dedicated to my super boyfriend. If you'd like to see close up swatches of this shade and the others in my collection, as well as my review on Lit Glitters, I'd suggest <a href="http://www.themodmermaid.com/2014/08/lit-cosmetic-glitters-review-swatches.html">clicking here</a>. <div style="text-align: justify;">
Today's glitter look is inspired by my inner mermaid. Usually when you love mermaids you sort of have a secret (or not so secret) love and appreciation for glitter. So there was no way I could do a week's worth of glitter looks without having one inspired by the majestic deep sea creatures. For this look, I incorporated the Lit Cosmetic glitters in <i>Peacock in Size #02 </i>and<i> Margarita in Size #03</i>. Instead of putting the glitters over top of the whole lid I concentrated <i>Peacock </i>in the outer corner to deepen the look and used <i>Margarita </i>on just a small bit of the lower lash line to brighten it up and really make the look sparkle.
Today's glitter look is one that's meant to show you guys how wearable glitter can be. <i>Champagne Wishes in Size #02 </i>is probably <i>the</i> most wearable glitter I own from Lit Cosmetics. I paired it with a natural and slightly smoked out eye look, as well as some kicking winged eye liner (you don't know how proud I was of those tiny wings!) I wore this out to dinner with my girl friend's and would probably even wear it out on a date. <i>Champagne Wishes </i>is a glitter that didn't make me feel uncomfortable or like I was a walking/talking glitter bomb. Although it was quite sparkly and obvious that I had glitter on my eyes, having such a neutral color paired with neutral shadows, lips and face really didn't bring too much attention it, which was great!
No surprise here, I'm obsessed with glitter. How can this mermaid not be? It's colorful, reflects light, and is just oh so, shiny. I've tried tons of glitters in hopes of being able to incorporate them into my make up routines or just for fun make up looks that my imagination creates. Never though, have I come across a brand that is as brilliant as Lit Cosmetics. They are, bar none, my absolute favorite destination for all things glitter. The variety of sizes and colors is just incredible. There's a glitter for anyone and everyone. I cannot fault them of a single thing. They make glitter fun and, best of all, wearable. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
On my last two trips to IMATS in New York, I've stopped at their booth. The first year because I was like "OMG, GLITTAH" where I picked up six glitters (crazy, but that booth is seriously mesmerizing) The second year I wasn't planning on stopping by the booth in fear that I'd buy more but that's where <a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/FromInsideMyCloset">Andrea</a> and <a href="http://thebeautymilk.com/">Coco</a> decided I should meet up with them. When I saw their hands swatched with glitters I went into a frenzy, caved, and bought three more glitters. I have no intention of skipping the Lit Cosmetics booth next year!</div>

<span style="font-size: large;"><b>Application/Removal</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
One of the biggest perks of the Lit Cosmetic glitters is that there is virtually no fall out thanks to their <i>Liquid Glitter Base</i>. You just dip your brush into the liquid, dab off the excess, pick up the glitter and apply. You can pat it on for a more concentrated application or sweep it on to have it dispersed. The only time I ever seem to get fall out on my face is when I haven't used enough of the liquid and that's to be expected because then I'm just applying a dry product with no base to adhere to. Learning what's the right amount takes a little bit of practice and by 'a little bit' I mean like .5 seconds of actually using it. Super simple! Once the glitter is on there, it's staying there and lasts throughout the day without flaking off or fading. The sparkle lasts you the whole time you choose to wear it. I've placed the glitters on the inner corners, outer corners, upper and lower lash lines, and haven't found it to irritate my eyes, which is saying something because they're quite sensitive.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
As for removal, it's a breeze. If you've ever worked with glitter before you'll know that sometimes it takes a special kind of make up remover to really get the job done but not with these. This glitter comes off with ease wether I'm using an oil, Bioderma, or even a good ol' make up wipe. It comes right off and doesn't scratch your eyes or face in the process, which is a big problem I had with some glitters in the past. It may take a little extra time to remove the glitter as some of it might slide to your cheeks or forehead in the process, but nothing that can't then be washed away whilst you cleanse your face.</div>

<span style="font-size: large;"><b>The Lit Cosmetic Glitters</b></span><br />
<b>(<i>side note</i>: the size numbers refer to how big or small the glitters are cut)</b></div>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><i>Peacock (Size #2) </i>is a blue/green glitter that applies like a sparkly pigment. It reminded me of the ocean and mermaids, so it was a must have.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><i>Cowgirl (Size #2)</i> is a coppery brown with tiny gold flecks that also applies like it's a sparkly pigment. </li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><i>Soul Sister (Size #3)</i> is a dark greenish glitter that reflects different shades of golds, coppers, and browns.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><i>Nightlife (Size #3) </i>is a black glitter that's reflects greens, reds, blues, and purples. It looks like a night club in a pot.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><i>California Soul (Size #3) </i>is a bright pink that's reflects lighter pinks and bright golds. </li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><i>Margarita (Size #3) </i>is a white glitter that reflects blues and greens. I freakin' LOVE this glitter.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><i>Champagne Wishes (Size #2) </i>is a neutral, golden champagne glitter with flecks of clear multi colored glitters.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><i>Wonder Woman (Size #2)</i> is a blue and fuchsia glitter and also applies like a sparkly pigment. It pulls majorly towards the blue when applied but you can see the fuchsia underneath which helps make the blue more vibrant and gives it a tinge of purple.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;"><i>Goober Grape (Size #3)</i> is a light purple, sort of lavender glitter, with possibly the cutest name for a glitter, like ever.</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In honor of finally going through and reviewing my favorite glitters, I've decided to create six different looks using these glitters and I'm going to be posting one each day for the rest of this week. I really wanted to show you guys what these glitters look like in action. They really fuel the imagination and add a little pizazz to already great make up looks. I had a lot of fun coming up with ideas and getting more use of these gorgeous babes! Once the week is over, I'll link them all in this post in case you're viewing this later!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You can find and order Lit Cosmetics glitters on their website <a href="http://litcomsetics.com/">litcomsetics.com</a>. They're each $12.95 and shipping is a standard $10. Unless you're ordering a bunch I'm not sure if the shipping is worth it. Like said, I got mine at IMATS and I think they exhibit at a majority of them. They offer great discounts at conventions like this and I don't have to pay for shipping. Additionally, they now sell a few 'starter packs' that you can find at Sephora, in store and online. There isn't a huge variety of colors but the ones they do have are gorgeous and they also come with a small bottle of the <i>Clearly Liquid Glitter Base, </i>as well as a small brush. It'd be a great way to dip your toe into the world of Lit. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
IN CONCLUSION (you're a peach if you've made it this far) if you're a fan of glitter or want to be, Lit Cosmetics is the way to go. It'll be love at first sparkle! </div>

<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wh15hi4o5IM/U-rM4lQfOPI/AAAAAAAAI_s/kEmGKrr4rzY/s1600/IMG_5119.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wh15hi4o5IM/U-rM4lQfOPI/AAAAAAAAI_s/kEmGKrr4rzY/s1600/IMG_5119.JPG" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Normally I'm the kind of girl that always opts for a bold lip color. I usually don't see the point of applying a sheer lip color when it'll just feel like nothing is there. Well, somehow this YSL Volupte Sheer Candy in Cool Guava has found it's way into my top 3 most used lipsticks. Yup, this sheer baby pink color is a firm, firm favorite of mine to don' almost daily. Like said, Cool Guava is a baby pink color that leans a little towards the bluer spectrum of pink with maybe some mid tones of yellow. Basically, it's a cooler shade of pink is what I'm getting at. It's a super smooth formulation and a sheer wash of color. You can def. build up the intensity of the color by swiping over your lips a few extra times, but remember, it'll stay sheer and just give the color a little more brightness. The YSL Sheer Candy gives your lips a nice and fresh tint while adding some natural looking glossy shine. The color lasts for maybe 2 hours before it starts to fade into nothingness, but the formula is so moisturizing that you can apply it over top without fear of clumping the product. Also, since it's a sheer pigmentation, you don't have to worry about being precise and can genuinely apply this on the go by using the tiny reflective cap as a mirror. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It goes without saying that the YSL packaging is a stunner. The silver tube with the color of the product in the middle accented with the gold logo is just spectacular to behold. It also goes without saying that this product is pretty expensive. I was lucky enough to have received a gift card from my sister on my birthday a few months ago that I got to use on this $34 gem. Would I have bought this product without one? If I had noticed it, probably! I'm so happy to have this lipstick in my collection. Some days, I just need that bright yet light and subtle wash of color; something simple to get me through the day. Cool Guava has permanent residence in my handbag and I find myself popping it on all the time!</div>

<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gPkKgG24SUE/U-gKDLysCoI/AAAAAAAAI9k/F_jgKHcBm0U/s1600/IMG_5114.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gPkKgG24SUE/U-gKDLysCoI/AAAAAAAAI9k/F_jgKHcBm0U/s1600/IMG_5114.JPG" height="426" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If you take a peek into my shower, hiding within the depths of my shower caddy compartments is LUSH's Rose Jam shower gel. It has the most glorious, sweet smelling scent that I ever did smell. My nose is just enchanted by it's floral yet delicious and decadent scent. <i>Rose Jam</i> is the perfect name for such a beauty of a product that's made up of argan oil, goji berries, and vanilla pod. I'm absolutely in love with this scent and it has to be there in the tops along with <i>Twilight</i>. LUSH does this scent in a bubbleroon and body conditioner, though one doesn't produce nearly enough bubbles while the other is a bit out of my price range. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Regardless, this rosy and yet lemony scent is absolutely so unique. It was so popular that LUSH brought out the shower gel version during the 2013 holiday season, which means, yes, it was limited edition. It also means that I've been using this 3.3 fl. oz. quite sparingly until recently. I genuinely hope that LUSH considers bringing it back again for the 2014 holiday line up for products. If they do, I <i>highly</i> suggest you nab a small bottle. You'll love the scent, I'm almost sure of it, and on the off chance you don't, I accept Rose Jam donations ;) Rose Jam shower gel not only smells divine but is also moisturizing and leaves the skin feeling soft, clean, yet not tight. Best part is that the scent lingers for ages after you've washed up, which I LOVE! (I've taken a shower about two hours ago and, oh my goodness, I still smell it *big sniff*)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I genuinely made this post to share one of my absolute favorite shower products as of late even though it'd be a tad difficult to get your hands on and to also slightly and subtly beg LUSH to make some batches of it for the holiday season. I can promise I'll make it worth their while by snatching up the 16.9 fl. oz. bottle! Mermaid's honor ;)</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
What does every 20 year old in 'Murica dream about moments before turning the big 2-1? Where do they yearn to be when they're finally ready to leave the teen-adult purgatory? Oh yeah, there's really only one answer and that would be Sin City, or more appropriately, Las Vegas. So okay, maybe not every 20 year old dreams of this right of passage but I <i>sure did</i> and I got that opportunity in early June of this year! Let me tell you that I've never been at a destination and already started planning my return there before I'd even left (y'know, except for Disney World!) Only, Vegas is like adult Disney World. I got to take this trip with my wonderful boyfriend, Anthony, and boy did we not want to leave. We were there for 6 days and 5 nights, staying at the Paris hotel (which was absolutely beautiful, oh my goodness.) I can't recommend that hotel enough. Where else can you swim under the Eiffel Tower?! Oh, and we didn't do this, but Jersey Boys plays at that hotel and, if you can, go see it so I can envy you! Also, there's a super delicious breakfast buffet- super tasty ...<br />
<br />
But, I digress. It seemed like we got so much done in just that short week, yet we soon realized there were a lot of things we just didn't have time for! Before we left for our trip I was all over the inter webs looking for things to do and places to see (trust me, there's A LOT to do.) So I thought I'd put my two cents in and share what were my top 10 things in Vegas that if you're heading there anytime soon you should def. see and do! Just letting you know now, we were like grandparents for a portion of the trip because of jet leg, so we didn't get to fully experience the nightlife. At least we have something to look forward to next time! Here we go, in no particular order, 10 things to do in Las Vegas!</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
You'll see the price tag and your wallet will jump out of your pocket or purse and run for the high heavens. Don't let it run! This buffet was the most delicious buffet/meal I had the entire trip, heck, maybe one of the best I've ever had <i>period. </i>There's not one specific style of food. They hit every note from spanish to italian, chinese to japanese, seafood to tacos, mashed potatoes to paprika potatoes, and all the desserts you can imagine, with the most delicious mango sorbet, <i>evah.</i> I wish we went back a second time before our trip ended. It was glorious. You feel the most fat happy you've ever felt leaving this buffet.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Speaking of fat ... ADULT <i>SLURPEES </i>at Fat Tuesday. I had a dumb blonde moment and thought it was only on Tuesday's but it is in fact a glorious place for adult drinks to cool you off in the crazy heat. The drinks range in flavors and boozes and the sizes range from small tumblr to yard cup (that comes with a strap for easier on the go drinking, haha) They also make yummy jello shots (my first ever) and I had an Arnold Palmer one. Def. worth it to stop by once or even twice! You even get a discount when you bring your glass back in! So fun!</div>

<div>
If you have the time, and the urge to go, rent yourself a car and drive west to visit sunny California. We drove four hours to get to Santa Monica because we wanted to see the pier and hit the beach (Las Vegas is a desert, there's no beach in site! This mermaid needed to stretch her fins!) The weather was beautiful and dropped from the crazy hot weather of Vegas. The water in the Pacific Ocean, however, was quite cold. You'd dip your toe in and get a chill all the way up your spine. The boardwalk was also a nice place to walk around and walk through the little shops and by the stalls. To get a really nice view of the beach and the boardwalk make sure to go up the ferris wheel!</div>

<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This was the only club I wish we would have gone to had we not been grandparents the entire trip. Jet lag is a nasty little bugger that will get you even if you don't think it will! It's one of the newer and UGH, I JUST WISH I WENT CLUBBING. Even if it's not your scene, you're in Vegas. One night at one club, would just have been an experience so I would recommend it. Not saying you have to go every night, but you may regret it if you don't go at all (I kind of do, <i>wahh</i>)</div>

<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Even if you don't end up staying at the Paris hotel you can still make the trip up the Eiffel Tower. It's only half the size of the real thing but it's enough to give you the experience without the crazy line! We didn't even have to wait after purchasing our tickets and were sent right up. The view is wonderful from the top of the tower. You have the perfect 360 view of the strip of Las Vegas and it would have probably looked spectacular at night! Also, since I was with the man friend, it was slightly romantic ... but only slightly, haha ;D</div>

<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
GO TO THE SUGAR FACTORY. Just do it. There's no way in heck I can ever see you regretting it unless, you know, you have like 6 goblets all to yourself and well, buddy, that was just poor decision making now wasn't it? All the cocktails and alcoholic beverages are themed around popular candies and chocolates. The Goblet's are Sugar Factory's 60oz. Signature drinks. They are sweet and fruity and full of candy. Oh and did I mention they put dry ice on the bottom of the glass? When the server arrives at your table to pour the drinks it looks quite magical. They even wait for you to have your camera's ready so you'll be all set to make your Instagram followers jealous- it's so cute. I didn't get to go in Vegas (although I REALLY WANTED TO and it was right in the Paris hotel) but I've been twice now in NYC and oh my. Go and thank me later!</div>

<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
A roller coaster? In the middle of the strip? Heck yeah! This was one of those things that we decided to do on our last night in Vegas. Most of the clubs were closed so we decided to go hotel hopping and see what all the other elaborately themed hotels were all about. Being native New Yorkers we had to check out New York New York. A big feature of the hotel is their roller coaster that we decided to ride on a whim. I wasn't expecting much, but it was actually quite fun! It's not a super thrill seeker ride but it's also not a tame one, which is what I was expecting. It's fast, has sharp twists and turns, and takes your picture about every 7 seconds at different points so be prepared!</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
You can't walk down the Vegas strip without seeing a billboard or advertisement for a spectacular show. The most popular variety of show is Cirque du Soleil. I think there are about seven or eight just in Vegas. We were very fortunate to have been able to go see a show (thanks to my Papa) and we chose to pick the raunchy and risqué of the bunch, Zumanity. It's <i>very</i> sexual and there is <i>a lot</i> of nudity so be warned if that's not your cup of tea. If you can, I'd highly recommend seeing one of these shows. The staging, costumes, music, and acrobats are all so spectacular, well worth it to go! Although we didn't go see it, I heard 'O' at the Bellagio is <i>the</i> one to see. Whichever one you end up choosing, it'll be well worth it!</div>

Apologies that this is not an original picture of mine. The Bellagio fountains are something absolutely worth seeing and it's nothing something you won't have time for. The fountains go off every 15-30 minutes after 9 PM. They're beautiful, loud, and just awe-inspiring. You can kind of get hypnotized waiting for the next formation of water bursts, which explains why I don't have any pictures of it. I was just really in a moment whilst watching them and it was lovely. (Also, jet lag was a big player in helping me space out a bit more, haha)</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
No one is too cool for the Vegas sign. It is at the end of the strip by the Luxor hotel (the giant pyramid), maybe a 5 minute car or cab ride away. You'll regret this <i>for sure</i> if you don't go at least look at it! It took us a while to figure out how to get the sign and myself to show up in the picture. I'd try going in the morning to get a clearer photo! Also, don't let the fools around the sign convince you to let them take a photo for you (they'll insist they're the only one who can make the clearest and most beautiful picture) because then they'll ask for a tip. Rubbish!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
So there you have it- my top 10 things to do in Las Vegas. I so wish we had been able to at least go to one club and see what that was all about. I also didn't get wild and crazy drunk, but still had a wonderful time. So wonderful that I'm already itching to back! My biggest tip with Vegas, no matter what you choose to do is to make some time to relax. It seems like such a strange concept in such a bustling town, but trust me, you'll be glad to slow down for just a second! Helps everything sink in a bit better, too!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I made a promise that when I went back to blogging that I wouldn't just post about beauty bits and bobs exclusively and that I would make more of an effort to spice things up and add some lifestyle and fashion posts (at which I am just failing, haha) So I thought I'd share about a little diddy that's been absolutely consuming my life and that is Pinterest. It's nothing new to most of you and a majority of you are probably over your "SUPAH OBSESSED. MUST PIN ALL ZA THINGS" phase but boy oh boy am I just getting started. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
It's the perfect thing for me really. A way to organize all the pretty things, and oh my do I enjoy organization and the pretty things. It's also a super cool way for me to take all the imaginary trips and events and interior designs that I make up in my head and make them somewhat of a reality on some space of the internet. It's a good place to find things you'd never find or know about had you not been on Pinterest. In honor of this obsession (why it needs to be honored, I'll never know, seems like I need to see a therapist is more like it) I thought I'd share three of my own favorite boards. Also, if you'd like to follow me on Pinterest (you'd be a peach if you did) you can <a href="http://bit.ly/1nOaeke">click here</a>.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
HA! I feel like <i>everyone </i>has a wedding pinterest board, which seemed rather cute until I started becoming obsessed with my own and proceeded to share my pins with my boyfriend, haha. I'm seriously laughing right now writing about this. I'm not ashamed of it. It's the sort of tools I would have liked to have as a little girl when I was pretending to plan my wedding. All my visions and ideas are now pictures all neatly folded into this little 'Happily Ever After' board. Sure it makes me seem a bit crazy since I'm not actually getting married any time soon, but everyone else is doing it so it's cool, right? ;)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Ah, a not so crazy Pinterest board. My 'Roomspiration' board is just that, a place to put all the design and trinket ideas for a new room. I'm genuinely thinking about redecorating my room to make it a much brighter and more efficient space to work and be in. I like the white walls and furniture so I can add small pops of pastel colors here and there. The shelves make a much neater and more inspiring organization. It's going to take some convincing with my mom since there's currently furniture in here that she can't bear to toss, but I've had this room the same way since I was 9- I think it's time for an upgrade. When that day comes and she is convinced, this board will be super handy for instant ideas!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Who doesn't love a travel board? I'm a wanderlust fiend and seeing all these gorgeous pictures of cities and beaches just fuels that lust. My current obsession is the Maldives with the breathtaking ocean huts and the water that glows like stars at night. It's safe to say that I can't wait to drag Anthony out here one day in the future. It would be too romantic for me to handle. I'm about to start adding photos and ideas for Mexico because that's where we (mostly <i>I) </i>want to go for Spring Break next year. PARTY!</div>

Since I've begun slowly but surely blogging more frequently I thought it might be time to start up my Disney Princess inspired makeup series once again! These use to be a bi-monthly thing that I sort of just stopped because I had classes and therefore was really short on time. I think I can get back into the swing of things and I've only got about three more princess's left to do after this one, which is awesome yet kind of sad. Guess I'll have to start up another themed makeup series soon after! Anyway, today I bring to you the *counts on fingers* 10th!! (holy cannoli) edition of my Disney Princess series. For those who don't know or are new to my blog, this is basically just a series where I take insipiration from the various themes and colors schemes of Disney princesses and create a look for them. I've already done <a href="http://bit.ly/13ozuTD" style="text-align: justify;" target="_blank">Snow White</a><span style="text-align: justify;">, </span><a href="http://bit.ly/17UffPh" style="text-align: justify;" target="_blank">Rapunzel</a><span style="text-align: justify;">, </span><a href="http://bit.ly/17OuhFH" style="text-align: justify;" target="_blank">Kida</a><span style="text-align: justify;">, </span><a href="http://bit.ly/17BcFhk" style="text-align: justify;">Belle</a><span style="text-align: justify;">, </span><a href="http://bit.ly/1afsLuB" style="text-align: justify;">Cinderella</a><span style="text-align: justify;">, </span><a href="http://bit.ly/H1p1pi" style="text-align: justify;">Ariel</a><span style="text-align: justify;">, </span><a href="http://bit.ly/1aI30CJ" style="text-align: justify;">Aurora</a><span style="text-align: justify;">, </span><a href="http://bit.ly/1cqSMLl" style="text-align: justify;">Elsa</a>, and <a href="http://bit.ly/1hrgNTW">Anna</a>. If you'd like to check those out just click on each respective princess! Today I bring to you all Princess Jasmine. She was the one princess I was trying to save until I absolutely had to do her because I knew I wanted a winged eyeliner and I am just, agh, so bad at it, especially making both eyes even. I took inspiration from her blue ensemble and gold accents to bring this look together. As I was creating it I wasn't too thrilled with how it was coming out and, like said, was dreading the eyeliner application but I'm thoroughly pleased with how it came out! It really makes my eyes stand out and makes me wish it was thoroughly acceptable to don this look on an everyday basis! So without further ado, my Prinncess Jasmine inspired look and the prodcuts I used to create it!</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Let's cut to the chase. I really don't like talking about skincare, which is why you very rarely see it on my blog. It's just something I don't thoroughly understand when it comes to what goes into making it work, but I couldn't not talk about this beaut. It's Origins GinZing Refreshing Scrub Cleanser- and it's <i>that good</i> that I'm breaking my no skincare rule and talking about it. Origins is a brand that never seems to fail. If you can properly identify your skincare concern, you can point yourself to the right product that'll work wonders! My mom actually ordered this scrub for herself and it had come with a small sample of it as well. I snatched the sample because, well, why not? It was love at first scrub. The scent is absolutely so refreshing, a citrusy mix, that when you use it in the morning it instantly invigorates the senses and has you feeling a little more awake. The grains in this scrub as small enough to be gentle and not too abrasive, but not so small that they won't exfoliate and actually scrub the skin. I find that after using this scrub that my skin looks brighter and feels a heck of a lot smoother. Most importantly, you <i>feel</i> clean after using it which is a quality that I feel sometimes gets overlooked! It doesn't dry out my skin and at the same time it doesn't really moisturize, so your favorite moisturizer afterwards is still a must. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The Origins GinZing Refreshing Scrub is $19.50 for 5 fl. oz. of product. It's surprisingly a lot because you don't have to use much of this cleanser. I'm so in love with this scrub that I only feel somewhat guilty for stealing it from my mom. It now holds permanent residence by my bathroom sink and I actually look forward to washing my face in the morning. Oh yeah, it's that nice! After trying it, your skincare routine won't feel complete without it!</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
First off, let me say a HUGE thanks to all the love and support you guys showed my first fashion type post. If you haven't seen it yet, <a href="http://bit.ly/1uo3Ww7">it's right here</a>. It really got me excited to do some more but the reality is that I'm terrified of bugs and just, AH! It's so hard to take a picture outside when you're constantly running in fear around and away from the camera. Also, I wasn't all too thrilled with my outfit. Was it something I really wanted to share? Not really, which brought me to analyze my closet and realize there's so much in there but so much I don't wear or fit anymore. Then I realized that before I could properly transition a little section of this space into "fashion posts" I'd have to sort through and organize my wardrobe.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It took 2 days to sort through and find an organization system that pleased me, mostly because I kept getting distracted. Depending on your ability to stay focused on one task, this shouldn't take more than a day! Through this process I've come up with some tips for sorting through your clothes to decide what to keep and what to toss and how to organize it when it's all said and done.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: start;">
<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Tip #1⌇<b>Tidy your room and yourself.</b> This is a big one to really get you started with such a task. Clear your room of excess clutter so that when you start sorting through your clothes you don't have to worry about extra mess. Same goes for yourself. You don't have to go the nine yards but a little mascara and maybe letting down your hair will make you feel better as you try on clothes.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Tip #2⌇<b>Take things out of your closet. </b>Yep, everything out. Turn your closet into a clean state. If things are on hangers you don't have to take them off just yet because you may just be creating extra work for yourself if you end up keeping the item. Lay them into piles on the floor in categories (i.e. bulky sweates, jackets, dresses, short sleeves, long sleeves, etc.) It'll make it easier to go through things and see what you have that may be similar. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Tip #3⌇<b>Try things on. </b>You don't have to try <i>everything </i>on but if you're unsure of wether or not you want to keep that skirt or dress, just try it on. It won't hurt and you'll get a better feel for the fit of the garment and wether or not it suits you any longer. Plus, this'll be a way to discover some new gems that you may have forgotten you had!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Tip #4⌇<b>Organize by color then style.</b> When you've finally gone through all your clothing and figured out what you are keeping, my advice would be to organize by color and then by style. I put the whites, creams, and beiges in the front, work my way down the rainbow, and end with the grays and blacks. Within that color organization I then sort them by sleeve size (i.e. 3/4 length sleeve, short sleeve, tank, etc.) With the longer sleeved shirts I just put from thickest to thinnest material. It's a system that has worked great for me and made it much easier to put away clothing when I know exactly where it's supposed to go.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Tip #5⌇<b>Throw out. Donate. Sell. </b>Once you've put all the 'keeps' back into your newly organized closet, it's time to sort through the 'not keep' pile. If there are obvious signs of stains and wear, sadly, you'll just have to toss those. If there are articles of clothing that are in good condition but just no longer fit you or your style then see if you can't donate them to a family member, friend, or clothing donation bin. You can also try your luck at selling some pieces if they are in good to great to almost perfect condition at consignment stores, thrift stores, websites like thredup.com, or even through the poshmark app. I've never had any luck, but it never hurts to try!</span><br />
<b><br /></b>

<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It's no secret that at one point or another every girl picks up a make up brush at some point in her life. Whether she picks it up and holds onto it or puts it back down is another story. I was one of the few that embraced the brush and turned it into my own form of artistic expression. I use all the gorgeous cosmetic innovations at my disposable to create a make up look- a work of art in its own right- and to <a href="http://ooh.li/d3035e8">share beauty</a>, I post it right here on this blog!</div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Let's back up a few years so I can properly explain how I discovered that I had a knack with a make up brush (if I do say so myself, haha). For the longest time pens, pencils, and paint brushes were my artistic weapons of choice. Paper was the canvas that I threw all the wacky imaginations in my head to make them come alive. I went to a specialized art high school where I learned everything from lines, lighting, shading, all the colors of the rainbow, and then some. What techniques made forms come forward and what made forms sink to the background. What colors complimented each other, what colors did not, and what colors you could blend to create any color under the sun! You'd be surprised to know that the only piece of make up I wore for a majority of high school was eyeliner and some mascara. Not because I think my skills now are super-cali-fragi-awesome, but you'd think as a beauty blogger, beauty would have been a huge part of my life for quite some time. </div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Out of my 21 years of life, beauty has only been a part of my life for almost only 4 of those. Late one night, after a horribly boring weekend, I discovered the beauty section of YouTube (as you do) and the rest was history. Almost a week later I had my first delivery of cosmetics at my door and my canvas quickly switched from paper to the face. I picked up techniques and color/texture combinations quite easily and I think a majority of that is thanks to my experience in art and sheer passion for it. </div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
My first passion for art had spurred a second deeper passion and appreciation for make up and the beauty that comes with it. That's what made me so excited to have the opportunity to join the <a href="http://ooh.li/d3035e8">Regency Beauty Institute and Refinery29</a> to share this <a href="http://ooh.li/d3035e8">#ShareBeauty</a> campaign. Specifically so the video they created to help them spread awareness. It's a short and super cute video, titled <a href="http://ooh.li/eeba77a">"Beauty Grew All Around"</a> that while you watch you can't help but well up with pride if you're a beauty enthusiast with experience or even just beginning. The music in the video kind of has a way of getting you to cheese real big, haha! I may not be a professional make up artist or working in the make up profession, but it's a big part of my life now and has inspired me to create an outlet (this lovely blog) to share that passion and meet others who share that same love of it (you lovely folks!)</div>

Today, I decided to play fashion blogger. I've been trying to get some fashion posts up on this blog for a while but could not figure out how to take the photographs on my own. It's not terribly hard, but def. a bit tricky. Lighting is the most important and let's be real, the lighting <i>inside</i> my house and room, stinks! Either way, most fashion bloggers will tell you that your best bet is to take the photos outside for natural lighting galore. What they <i>don't</i> tell you is that with nature comes a swarm of the itty bitty wildlife with wings that makes you want to shriek and run away. Besides that, I actually had a lot of fun taking the photos and don't think they came out too bad. Sorry for the not so appealing side of my house as background. I wanted to take them on the side with my fence and trees, but let's be real, too much wildlife for my liking on that side, haha! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I genuinely put this on with the intention of going no where. I did wear this on my sister's birthday last month when we ventured to the city and fell in love with the cute but edgy feel of this outfit. The material of the skirt is so comfy and soft that it made for a great blanket for my nap on the ferry home!</div>

Most ladies read Cosmopolotan magazine, don't they? I don't subscribe but when I'm going on a quite long trip I always remind myself to grab one because it's the only one I can read from front to back. So if this doesn't look like the most fun to participate in then I suggest you get your fun bone checked out (It's different from your funny bone, I checked the anatomy book ;) <i>keedding</i>) I saw this a day ago over on <a href="http://www.bloglovin.com/frame?post=3167768999&group=0&frame_type=b&blog=3550330&frame=1&click=0&user=0">Becky's blog</a>. She likened it to a mini interview that you'd find in Cosmo and then it made me want to pretend I was a mini celebrity and the "Blogmopolitan" wanted to ask me some questions. Haha, a girl can dream can't she? I loved reading Becky's answer's and had fun putting this together. You can join in on the fun by downloading the blank template over at <a href="http://www.twothirdshazel.com/2014/07/the-blogmopolitan-quiz-round-3.html">Two Thirds Hazel</a> run by Erin who originated the quiz. I'd love to see what you guys answer! <i>Okay, away we go!</i></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<b>It's neon<i> and</i> glitter. The review stops here. *drops mic* </b></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I kid, I kid. Prepare yourselves. This is one of those products I need to go point by point on otherwise I may miss some important information. What we have here is the perfect hybrid of neon colored pigment and sparkling shimmers. It's something the beauty obsessed were constantly dreaming of until Sugarpill finally came out with their Elektrocute Pigments. When they first came out all I could do was drool at my computer screen as beauty blogger after beauty blogger reviewed these beauts. The Elektrocute pigments are bright and sparkly which appealed to me on so many levels. I only admired from afar because I had no idea what I'd do with these pigments once receiving them, so I put off purchasing them, <i>that is</i> until I got to IMATS. Once I hit the Sugarpill booth and saw them in person, I just had to have one!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The Elektrocute collection was released with five shades; a shocking blue, vibrant yellow, hot pink, electric green, and a dazzling orange. I ended up getting the pigment named <i>Supercharged, </i>which was the bright orange with yellowish-golden shimmers. It was the one I thought I'd get most wear out of (although now that I think about it, I probably should have gotten the hot pink shade) It's a gorgeous shade to swatch over and over again. The finish of the pigment is matte and even with the shimmers it's easy to see that. The shimmers are quite fine and when applied to the eyes you can't even feel them like you would if you had used a coarser glitter.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Let's just get it out of the way now, this is quite a fussy shadow. It's like a high maintenance girlfriend that you need to wine and dine before she<i> maybe</i> decides to be nice to you. Don't get me wrong, the pigment applies smoothly, maybe some patches here or there, nothing <i>too</i> difficult to fix, but the shimmer ... Without a primer and with a standard primer (such as Urban Decay Primer Potion or NARS Smudgeproof Base Primer, etc.) the color stays but the shimmer is gonzo in about 20 minutes! Your only hope of having the shimmer stay on along with the color is to do 2 things. The first, find a super sticky white base, such as the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk. It keeps the color vibrant and the shimmer likes to adhere to it. Second, you need a flat/dense brush and need to pat and pack the color onto the lid. If you use a sweeping motion you're just going to sweep away all the glitter off your eye and onto your eyelashes and cheeks. No bueno, unless that's the look you're going for, haha! I've included swatches without primer, with Urban Decay Primer Potion, and then the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in two different lightings so you can get a real sense of how it's likely to come out. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
With all that said, <i>Supercharged </i>is not a terrible pigment. I wouldn't even classify it bad, I'm just not the most experienced with this sort of texture of shadow. It's gorgeous and the idea of blending glitter and neon colors together was genius. Just know that you're going to have to work with the shadow to get it looking how you want. I used it for my sister's prom make up and it came out stunning (although there was severely less glitter on her by the time she got to the party bus) I don't see myself getting a lot of use out of this if I'm honest. I don't wear orange a lot, either, and if anything pink would have been a better option for me. It's $16.00 for .19 oz. which I don't think is too terrible since pigments tend to last a very long time even with daily use. If it's something you're willing to experiment with then I'd highly recommend you get a shade or two! It's a unique piece of make up to have in your arsenal! </div>

Holy long picture. Sorry for all the extra scrolling, haha. Last week I explained to you guys that I'm going through some <i>serious</i> shopping withdrawals and <a href="http://bit.ly/U9x5L3">shared my crazy beauty wish list</a>. Well, my want for all the things just grows and grows and it's spilled over to wanting so many fashion pieces, specifically from Topshop. Topshop is a store I do not window, online, or real life shop at (well, once or twice I did) It is a dangerous store for me and I don't trust myself in its presence (#overdramatic) So dangerous that I can't even walk in because I know, oh boy do I <i>know</i>, that I'll fall in love with some beautiful piece of clothing that I shan't be able to afford. Once I almost convinced myself that I could absolutely rock a bowler hat that would cost me $50, <i>yeah, wow, so me!</i> *facepalm* So last night, I did something bad. I opened my browser, typed in "topshop.com" and sent myself down a deep whole of online window ogling. When I finally pulled myself away I came out with these gorgeous articles of clothing that, right now, I feel as though I need to have. Not want, but <i>need.</i> </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Now, I'm nothing close to a fashion blogger or even a fashionista; hence why there is a distinct lacking in #ootd posts (plus, how does one even begin to take those photos?!) But lately, looking through my closet, I've noticed that my style is just way too casual for my liking. Not that all my casual t-shirts and flannels are bad to have, but I noticed that when it was time to dress-up, or just look a little more put together (what I like to call, fancy-casual) I seriously had nothing to wear. So I'm starting to look out for more stand out pieces. Ones that I can dress up and dress down with the proper make up, accessories, and shoes. I chose pieces that were still within my comfort style, but there's a bit more pizazz to each piece.<br />
<br />
I've always loved crop tops and instead of the graphic ones I usually sport these all have a little something (like the flower and lace hems, scalloped edges) to make them stand out a little more and give them a less casual appearance. I've also been on the look out (high and low) for some nice high waisted pants, that are actually <i>high</i>-<i>waisted.</i> I tried the ones in the photo and fell in love. They're comfortable and accentuate all the right curves to really flatter my figure. Plus, I think these would look great with any of the tops I have picked out. As for the skort (haven't heard that term since I was 10!), they're really out there with the bright coral color and unusual structure but I'm so drawn to them, especially if I can pair them with the jewel embellished collar top. And okay, maybe I can't totally stray from my comfort casual style of wardrobe, but something about that raglan top was calling to me. Last but not least, the dresses. Looking through my dresses I'm just not happy with what I have. Some are, like I've pointed out, too casual and look like cover ups for the beach and some just look way too young for me to wear anymore. I'm in love with the aztec print on the romper and the little cut outs. It's looks casual and comfortable but put together and fun! Hopefully it'd be something I could pull off. As for the dress, I've discovered I look quite nice in white and I just love the way this dress is made to look like a crop and skirt. I could probably get away with wearing it out just to go to the city or even for a dinner party.<br />
<br />
If I had an unlimited bank account I probably would've just placed an order online and had these babies delivered to me right now (can you imagine the happiness of receiving such a huge haul of clothing in the mail?!) It took me all of 30 minutes to discover that I needed these pieces of clothing in my life, which is why Topshop is dangerous. Don't even get me started about walking over to the beauty section, haha. I implode in that area. I've come to terms that what I need is versatility in a piece of clothing that'll have me set for all occasions! I think it's time to clean out my closet and make room for some 20 year old me fashion. I haven't gone clothes shopping in the longest time (except for work uniform related items) so that's why I've had so much to gush about in this wish list. If you made it this far down, you're a peach :)<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Is Topshop as dangerous for you as it is for me?</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Do you have more guts and actually spend your pretty pennies on pretty clothing's?</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Also, what's on your clothing wish list? </b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Or better yet, don't tell me because then I'll look it up and probably want it as well.</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><b>Okay, tell me! ;D</b></i></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
What a random post, haha, but that's what I'm all about lately. If you wanna blog about it, then <i>do </i>(the mod mermaid-isms, coming to a fortune cookie near you) Anyway, whenever you walk into Bath & Body Works there's no way you can resist the little acrylic tubs of goodness that are filled to the brim with these little PocketBac hand sanitizers. There's a huge array of scents that'll make your nose tingle and twitch. My eye always goes to the sparkly and glitter packed sanitizers. Every time I pick a newly glittered scent, I cross my fingers and hope it smells good. Who doesn't love disinfecting while at the same time glitter coating their hands? Plus, they're always running a promotion on them, which is 5 for $5. The ones that don't get infused with glitter have little blue "bursting beads." I'm not exactly sure of their benefit but they're super distracting to squish during long lectures. The scents on all of these are super potent which is fantastic as it not just the alcohol smell. Be warned that if you're in the confines on a NYC subway you will get glared out if it's not a universally delicious smelling smell, but you do you! My favorite scent I ever got of these was a peachy smelling one that was called "I Love Shopping" which was more than fitting for me. The scents are constantly changing with the seasons and whilst I love the fruity and citrusy scents of the summer, I cannot wait for the sweet Christmas cookie smelling ones in the winter!</div>
