March Favorites

Happy April! April is an exciting month because as soon as it's over my birthday happens (and my birthday is like a National Holiday to me) and then it means classes are THIS close to being out for the summer! Woo! But before we can enjoy April and all the showers it will spring upon (pun intented!) I have some March favorites to share with you! There aren't many and I seriously stretched to remember what I loved in the month of March because beauty and wearing makeup were not top on my list because of school stress. Regardless, I picked just my absolute favorites and that got some good use this month! Here we go:

• Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids Lipsticks | I won't get into too detailed of a review on these because that will be coming up quite soon but these are part of Maybelline's Color Sensational collection and true to name the color pigmentation and shades are sensational! The Vivids line has the most gorgeous neon colors and I love them so much I want to get a few more!
• NARS Orgasm Blush | This blush has been the only blush I've reached for this month. It's not even remotely warm outside just yet but I've still started to embrace the golden and glowy skin. This blush is a gorgeous coral-pink color that gives a nice flush of color and the gold sheen throughout leaves a nice youthful flow on the cheeks.
• Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent | I bought this powder as a 'limbo' powder for while I'm between powders (powder, powder, powder) but I'm pleasantly pleased with it! Whenever I could be bothered to put foundation on it smoothed the look of it and did a nice job of keeping it put all day. Most of the time I just buffed this into my skin without foundation and what made this a favorite was that it toned down the redness of my face. Even after I burned it in Cancun, haha! I wasn't quite sure about this powder at first but I quite like it :)
• Ralph Lauren Big Pony 2 Rollerball | Out of all the Big Pony perfumes by Ralph Lauren 2 is the best. It's the perfect mix of floral and fruity. The scent is amazing but the reason it's my favorite is because whenever I had to pull all nighters and everything I had to do was about to send me into an anxiety attack this scent would just calm me down. I don't know why, I honestly don't! I would put a little on my wrists and then behind my ear and I'd instantly calm down a bit. Maybe it was just the ritual of it, but I def. had to share this a favorite because it got me through March!
• Swarovksi Starfish Earrings | I'm not sure if I've ever mentioned these in a favorite or what not post but here they are! They are my Starfish earrings. Readers new and old can probably guess why I love these earrings. They are cute little starfishes and I cherish them. Even when my hair is down people manage to see them and compliment me on them so they must be doing something right, haha!
• Radioactive by Imagine Dragons | This song is just .... EVERYTHING. I cannot stop listening to it. It's all I've been listening to. I want to choreographer a fist-pounding-floor dance to it. I'm already planning a tutorial that's so epic only this song would be appropriate. I found this on tumblr and thought it expressed my feeling for this song to a T.

Not a whole lot of favorites for March, hopefully there'll be some exciting products to include and share next month considering IMATS is this weekend! Super exciting!

February Favorites

Welp, there goes another month! I'm very much looking forward to March and slightly dreading it. In March I'm going on a proper Spring Break to Cancun (with my mom and sister, but they're still a fun time!) and March means we're this much closer to IMATS, and I still haven't bought a ticket, eep! Before Spring Break can happen I have to take my midterms and write mid-term papers and frankly, I'm not looking forward to that part! The end of February also marks the end of my first full month at a new school which was great and I feel so much more comfortable. I don't know wether that was due to the school itself or if I just feel at home in the city. Anywho, in the beauty blogosphere the end of a month means the beginning of a stream of favorites posts and videos! So here are my favorites for the month of February! 

• Urban Decay Basics Palette & Sigma E40 Brush | I've been loving this palette to create super natural eye looks (A look, LOL)  and I've honestly used it every day of the month!
• Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes Liner in 2L | I've raved about this eyeliner to you all ever since I bought it. The formulation and pigmentation is amazing and the brown color really makes my blue eyes stand out!
• Tarte Natural Beauty and NARS Orgasm Blushes | These blushes have been my go to give nice flushes of color to my cheeks (and I wasn't the only one who loved these two blushes! *ahem* Cassie!)
• China Glaze Smoke & Ashes and Deborah Lippmann's Across the Universe | These two have been the colors that graced my nails the most this month! I layered Deborah Lippmann's color over the China Glaze one.
• Miss Dior Cherie Perfume | I've been loving this warm and feminine fragrance!

2012 Beauty Favorites

Happy New Years Eve! I thought I'd end the year with something that has been a huge part of my year, make up! It's sad but it's true! So here are my favorites of 2012 and I already have a beauty resolution in mind ... next year, narrow each category to just one! Looking at this and re watching my video I see that I maybe could have made my list shorter! I just had such a hard time picking only one because some of these were favorites in the beginning and then some became new favorites towards the end! This could also mean that I should probably buy less beauty products in 2013 and that's def. a resolution of mine! To spend less on beauty! July Favorites ★

When I first started blogging I didn't feel like I had been using enough or keeping track of my products to create a favorite's post at the end of the month. So I'm really excited today to bring you my July Favorites! I made sure to keep a mental note of things I have been loving this month and here they are!

The Caudalie Beauty Elixir is a sort of recent favorite as I bought it this month and have not stopped using it! It's great for refreshing my face or make up during this humid month as well as help my moisturizer sink into my skin a lot quicker! This month I haven't been wearing any foundation at all. I have my new skincare routine to thank for that which I'll be posting up sometime in the next week! The only thing I've needed to cover up were my super dark eye circles. I've fallen back in love with my L'Oreal MagicLumi concealer. It's a wonderful consistency and gives my circles the coverage and light that I need to make me look awake. I haven't been wearing a lot of lippies this month but I did seem to be reaching for my EOS Lip Balm quite a lot!

My favorite cheek products have been NARS Laguna Bronzer and Benefit's Hervana. Laguna has been giving me that flush of golden color that I can't seem to get naturally sitting in an office full of fluorescent lighting all day! Since my make up has been so minimal this month I've made sure to keep my blusher natural as well with Hervana. I have ravings reviews on both that you can read here and here!

Can you believe it? I've got three, count 'em three, favorite eye liners! The first is Make Up Forever's Aqua Liner in OL Black. It's a great consistency, waterproof and is great for tightlining and on the water line. The second is an absolute rubbish eyeliner. It's Smashbox's Emerald Eye Liner. Complete rubbish. It fades and glides off in a mere two hours. So why is it a favorite? Well I LOVE the color and I've been wearing it on my waterline for ages now. It was gifted to me by a friend who didn't want it anymore so that's why I use it. It brings out my blue eyes so beautifully that I keep it with me to touch up a million times a day. I'll continue to use this only because I know I can't go out and buy an emerald liner from another brand at this time! Not much to say about third favorite. Sephora Collection's Liquid Liner in Black. Has been my absolute favorite liquid (and overall) liner for about a year now. Love it. Go get it. You won't regret.

My last favorite is a tad random. It's Sephora's Instant Nail Polish Remover. It's one of those removers that has a saturated foam inside and you place a single finger in at a time to quickly remove your nail polish. I LOVE THIS. It's perfect for those of us who enjoy changing up our nail colors often! It's allowed me to change my polish color without dreading the awful cotton balls and sticky fingers! It's quickly and easy and makes my life a little bit easier every time I use it!
