Le Petite LUSH Haul

Do you know what happens when you try to pay off credit card bills? You can't spend any of your money on things you don't super need. In my case, any sort of beauty product wether it was a make up product, hair care product, or even a skincare product. Do you know what happens when you're cut off from being able to purchase these things and not by choice? You start to realize what beauty products you need to spend money on and what you can live without. Skincare products was one of those things I COULD NOT LIVE WITHOUT. Although, I did put up a fair fight and try my hardest. I succumbed to digging through my stash of samples and finding anything that said "moisturizer" regardless of skin type which sent my skin into hell. Notice the lack of make up/face posts? Enough was enough and I couldn't keep treating my skin like this, especially since my skin is parched and dry as the sahara. So off to LUSH I went during a very long break between classes. I hadn't been there in a while and I've forgotten all about it's magical powers of not letting customers leave with just one thing.

First item on my list, was of course a moisturizer. A moisturizer that wasn't just a random sample, but one that was tailored for dry and sensitive skin. Hallo, Celestial. It was a toss up between this one and Skin Drink, which are both great for dry skin but as Celestial was suited more for sensitive skin and calming redness (and smelled not so rancid), that is the one I went with. I've just applied it to myself and I can feel happiness, pure happiness, radiating from my skin. My face also smells like a milkshake and I totally dig it. Now of course, if you've ever been to LUSH you know their latest limited edition collection always stares you in the face when you come in and I COULD NOT RESIST the cute little Bunny bubble bar and it's small shiny blue eyes staring up at me practically SCREAMING "PLEASE TAKE ME HOME" He's adorable and smells like candy floss, incredibleness. I've hidden him within the depths of my minuscule collection of bubble bars in hopes that I forget he's there. I think if I ever use him, I'll be forever sad and feel like I'm taking a bath in the bubble blood of that bunny, haha- super morbid, I know. Lastly, you always have that one item you don't even know why you needed it but you got it anyway- a small chunk of the delicious smelling Honey, I Washed the Kids soap. Every time I smell this it takes me back to the first time I ever used a LUSH soap because this was it. It's the only one that moisturizes my skin and keeps it smelling yummy for hours. I absolutely used to love it so I'm excited to rekindle that love affair, haha.

All in all, it was a great trip. I used to take so many trips there that it started to get annoying and I would forget what I loved about all these gorgeous and organic products. It also didn't help that I used to work there and it was just LUSH 24/7. I prefer being a customer so much more and for once, my wallet doesn't feel the least bit guilt. Look at me turning into a shopper with better will power!
Have you picked up anything from LUSH recently?

LUSH UK Holiday Haul!

It's the mooooost wonderful time of the year! And by that I mean LUSH has finally released their holiday products for 2013! LUSH Holiday products are always so innovative, fun and sparkly! It's the only time I regress to my LUSH obsessed way and want ALL THE THINGS. I know I'm on a spending ban, but I really couldn't resist placing a LUSH order from the UK. I was introduced to LUSH around the holiday season and that's when I really fell in love with the brand! I guess it's a little tradition now every year to just ogle over their holiday products and have a deep lust for them! I only got some of the stuff I was really dying to try for now as these products haven't yet hit the stores in the US, and I didn't want to pay cray-cray shipping. Also, the bottled shower gels are so much cheaper in the UK than in the US so I just had to order a bottle or two of their holiday scents! I've had time to sniff and play with a few so sit back, relax, and have a look at some of the holly jolly goodies I got that you may want to check out!
Santa's Lip Scrub
After being completely smitten with LUSH's Popcorn holiday scrub from last year (seriously, in my review you could practically hear me shouting), I just had to try their new one for this year. The fact that it was supposed to smell like Cola was an added bonus! I have tried it and I have to say I'm not too crazy about it. It's not as gritty as past scrubs I've tried from LUSH and it doesn't actually taste like Cola ): It took me a while but I figured out what it tastes like and that's the Cherry Chapstick- I used to eat it as a kid and the taste is exactly the same, haha! Don't shame me for knowing! It's not awful, and I will be happy to finish it now that it reminds me of my mental childhood, but Popcorn still holds top spots!
Whoosh Temple Balm
So this isn't exactly in LUSH's holiday range, but I was browsing the UK website to see what goodies they offered that weren't offered in the US and stumbled across this gem. It's a temple balm meant to sure headaches that smells like there ever so loved Whoosh shower gelly. It's citrusy and brightening and I love the smell! I get headaches a lot, but for some reason haven't gotten one yet to test this puppy out. Maybe it's that good? Haha!
Ponche 100mL Shower Gel
I missed out on Ponche last year because I actually didn't buy a lot from the holiday range aside from bath products. I also knew my mom was going to get me a big spanking gift box from them so I was surprisingly good. I'm glad it's back again so I can try it! Ponche is tequila and orange infused shower gel that really wakes up your senses. I love the scent and can't wait to use it for some much needed morning showers for 7 AM shifts at work!
Rose Jam 100mL Shower Gel
OH MY GOOD GOLLY GOSH. How do I even begin to describe this beautifully scented shower gel. I may just dedicated an entire post to this gem (capitalized letters and shouting, included) Rose Jam is a scent that LUSH just teases me with becuase it's ALWAYS LIMITED EDITION. It took everything I had to not buy the 500mL or even the 250mL. It's equal parts sweet, sensual, and floral- such an amazing mix. I'm already planning to buy the 250mL bottle when my ban is over (I could never finish 500mL, haha)
Shoot for the Stars Bath Bomb
I let myself try one bath bomb from all the really snazzy looking ones LUSH came out. The ever so enabling Amy from Paint Potted blogged about this guy and it was enough sweet-glittery goodness that I had to try it first! It smells just like the Honey, I Washed the Kids soap or It's Raining Men shower gel, which is one of my favorite scents! It's smells so delicious and I can't wait to throw it in the bath! I'll probably toss the whole thing because I need to see the spectacle that is LUSH, glitter, and bath fizz!
Abombinaball Bath Bomb
Abombinaball got sent to retro this year. He was probably the most underrated bath bomb when I worked for LUSH two holiday's ago. I felt so bad that I went ahead and bought one and fell in love! Look at this guy! Such a cute little abominable snowman face :) He smells deliciously of peppermint and vanilla- which is a great combination of scents! He practically comes to life in the bath because whatever faster fizzing they've got inside him pushes this guy around the tub like he's trying to run away, haha!
Snow Fairy Sparkle Bar
Last, but certainly not least, is the Snow Fairy Sparkle Bar. SPARKLE bar. SPARKLE. I had to have it. I am a big fan of LUSH's glitter massage bars (Glitterbug being my favorite and I HATE THAT IT'S DISCONTINUED) I was so excited to see another bar of glitter! It smells just like the sweetly famous Snow Fairy scent. It melts SO quickly which actually puts me off a bit. I put my finger on the bar and it turns to a puddle, haha! It is gloriously sparkly though (there's a giant chunk of silvery-white glitter inside this little fairy) I love it, and I'll probably buy another when I run out because I can't resist the glitter! Also, just as a heads up, it's a lot smaller than you think it is!

What LUSH holiday goodies are you waiting to try?

LUSH Haul | Halloween & Christmas Goodies!

I'm back on that flow of wanting every thing from LUSH, as is custom by now, every holiday season! I found out about LUSH during their Holiday launch. They come out with loads of new fantastic products between Halloween and Christmas. The dire need for LUSH usually subsides after Valentine's Day. So I bring to you a haul of wonderful goodies from their Halloween products as well as some Christmas-y products! The Halloween items were planned from last weekend when they were all launch. The Christmas-y products took me completely by surprise this weekend though. I honestly only popped in to get a Twilight bath bomb and a bubble bar. I had tiny heart palpitations when I saw the physical being that is the Bubble Beard in my presence. Here's what I got:
☆ Bubble Beard bubble wand
☆ Sandy Santa sugar scrub
☆ Twilight bath bomb
☆ Popcorn lip scrub
☆ 3.3 fl oz. Twilight shower gel
☆ 3, mhmmm, THREE Pumpkin Soaps! Don't fret if you think I've bought them all! I'm giving one away to a lovely reader over here: #SpooktacularGiveaway
☆ Enchanter bath bomb
☆ Melting Snowman bath melt (with a new/better scent!)
☆ Candy Mountain bubble bar

That's all that I got! All... I say it like it's not enough. This is enough to keep a Lushie happy for a week. I'm already planning on making a retro Holiday order online. They've brought back the Once A Year massage bar and I almost flipped a lid when I found out from someone on Tumblr. I've been hunting it down for ages (2 years, no biggie! haha). Also, I can't wait to go back next month when they've got all the holiday products in so I can touch 'em all and then continue to buy 'em.

As it's the end of the weekend I'm going to treat myself to a very uplifting bath with the Enchanter bath bomb. It's already begun to fizz in the bath and it smells delicious!

Hope you are all having a relaxing evening as well! Let me know if you've gotten anything from the Holiday products at LUSH! Or which ones can you not wait to get your paws on? :)
