By My Bedside

This may seem like a "first world problem" but sometimes I get really lazy in the morning and the last thing I want to be doing is digging through three long drawers of products. So after receiving one of my  Birchbox's I decided to put it to good use instead of tossing it out. *self high-five for upcycling* So now I keep a hand full of products on my bedside which is great for a couple of reasons. I have the "luxury" of staying at my desk to do my make up without having to walk back and forth (I know, I know. Told you #firstworldproblems) Another great thing about keeping a hand full of products within reach is that I get more use out of my products and they get used up, rather than just collecting dust in the corners on my make up collection. Every two weeks I'll change up what lipstick, shadows and blush are in there so that they get more love. Since I'm that lazy that becomes a great way to use up products. As long as they're in that box, I'll put them to use. So today I thought I'd share with you what I keep by my bedside, especially since this collection of items hasn't been changed since November *hides face* Also, if I've reviewed any of these products, you can click on the name to go to that review! If there's anything you would like me to review, that I haven't, please leave it in the comments :D

    1. I feel for you! I almost passed on it and though NOPE, NOPE. It's a must. Some stores are still selling them though so check it out!

  2. Great idea! I've a couple of shoeboxes which could be handy for a similar use as my make-up is always running away! Though I keep my laptop on my bedside table so there's not much room for anything else! But I do have Soap & Glory Hand Food to use just before bed every night :) Wendy xx

    1. Thank you, Wendy! :)
I keep my laptop and alarm clock on my bed side, too! Along with some books, there's really not much room for anything else so I'd rather make a mess inside of a small box than all over my desk haha

    1. They're always so simply and beautifully decorated. Nothing too overbearing to keep on the desk!

  4. Amazing products. Love the Rimmel stay matte powder, UD all night spray and Covergirl lash blast. Great idea to keep mini products in there. I feel like mini products always get lost among my collection. xx Rena Kiss and Make Up

    1. Thanks, Rena! They almost always get lost in the hustle and bustle of bigger and newer products! It really helps to use them up by having them in front of your face at all times! You find some gems that way!

  5. I don't keep anything by my bedside. All my makeup related products are on my makeup desk.

  6. I love up-cycling my birchboxes for storage… even if that particular month was a bad box of products at least I know I'll get a good use out of the box hahah. Glad you did this for yourself and definitely kick yourself in the butt to switch up the products from month to month!! It's one of my favorite things to do ;)

    1. LOL, exactly. It's like thanks for the lack luster products Birchbox, at least the box made it all worth it. What else have you used them for? I have two more boxes that I don't have the heart to throw away!

  7. This is a nice idea! I like how you can see all the products clearly...right now I put my "current rotation" in a makeup bag that's decently sized so I end up throwing in too many things ! Like you described, so many #firstworldproblems haha

    1. HA! I had that too! I used a Ted Baker wash bag and while everything was there, I couldn't see anything and spend more time looking for an almost used up eyeliner, haha. Make up and it's storage is always and forever a #firstworldproblem XD
