Quick Post: #HurricaneSandy

Hi everyone! Long time no talk. Oh? It's only been 4 days? Feels ways longer. I hope everyone is doing okay after this insanity that no one expected. I hope nothing too damaging happened and you and your families are alright and safe. It's unreal how horrible everything is here. New Yorkers were certainly not expecting it at all. My power has been out since Monday afternoon and my entire community was flooded. Thank goodness, by some miracle, my house was the only one not flooded. I am at a neighbor's house right now, stealing their light to charge my laptop and phone. There's no service but still. Trees are fallen everywhere, places are still flooded, and power may not be back for another week. I'm just happy that a lot are safe and it's so nice to see everyone being courteous and helping out at a time like this.

Just wanted to update and say everything is alright! I don't know when I'll be able to post again and I'm so mad (moderately) because I really wanted to post about the Debbie Harry palette, haha! Okay, others need the internet I shall get in touch soon.

Sephora Friends & Family Haul!

Hey, hey! Tired of me yet? I decided I couldn't wait to put up my Sephora Friends & Family Haul until tomorrow so I thought I'd do it tonight! Can you tell that I'm stuck at home with not a whole lot going on? Yeah, I thought so. I think Andrea from (Andreaalamode) is actually on my blog right now editing my brand new, fantastic header for me (more on that soon), but hi Andrea! :)

You might have known there was a whole lot of hubbub surrounding the Sephora Friends & Family sale with a lot of people thinking they would be e-mailed about it. Turns out it was going to be super exclusive and a legitimate for "friends and family" sale. No worries, through a very generous worker at Sephora on twitter, I managed to get the code! Hope she doesn't get into any trouble :/ I actually got these a week ago but I had them sent to my boyfriend's house and just now received them! So here's a little look at what I got!
  • NARS Andy Warhol Debbie Harry Eye & Cheek Palette | SUPER EXCITED to have finally gotten this! I can't wait to show review this for you guys because you will just be shocked as to what I discovered to make this beautiful palette really work for you without any hassle! Though it is a complete glitter bomb! (I don't mind, of course ;) )
  • NARS Smudgeproof Eye Primer | Part of the magic! I've heard rave reviews about this primer and hopefully it works better for my slippery little eye lids.
  • Benefit Erase Paste | Self explanatory for those in the blogging world. A jar of miracles is what this is supposed to be. We'll just have to see! I wore this out today but didn't take a good look.
  • Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Natural Beauty | Someone said "pale girl blush" and I jumped on it, simple as that, honestly. Haha!
  • YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick in #12 Forbidden Burgandy | Agh, I am just in love with these lipsticks. I have one but it's too much of a "summer" color. I've been looking to get another "autumn" color, found this, and at 20% off I figured, GO FOR IT!
So that's all I've got to haul for you all! See anything you like? Did anyone manage to snag a code for the sale? I'd love to hear what you've recently bought! Reviews are on their way with the Debbie Harry Palette being the first! Can't wait to share it with you guys!

This is what I call "Preparing for a Hurricane" ...

Look at all the food! Aha! These are what I consider your "Hurricane Essentials". Everyone has spent all day evacuating and prepping to have everything they to greet Miss Hurricane Sandy. It's supposed to be a doozey! I'm in Zone A which is also known as "Mandatory Evacuation Zone". Yeah ... we haven't evacuated. I'm sitting in my room, eating snacks and waiting for my Peppermint Tea to steep. I ran out of it yesterday and therefore had to run to every grocery store looking for a box of these. No way was I surviving a hurricane without this stuff! I found it at Shop Rite and ran down the aisle singing "We are the champioooons, my frieeeends!" You can say it. I'm a nutter!

I have taken a lot of pictures for posts for these upcoming days. Hopefully I still have power so I can post them, if not, know that I'm sitting by candlelight! I hope everyone going to be or being affected by Hurricane Sandy stays/is safe! Stay inside! Snuggle with a comforter and just hope for the best!

Talk to you all real soon! :)

All The Pretty Girls on a Saturday Night!

As college girls all around the U.S. of A prep for their first (even second) night of Halloween festivities I am sat home, alone. Sometimes I really despise the whole 'commuting to college' thing. My college isn't very centered at making commuter students feel welcome and all that jazz. Regardless! I though I'd share some things that have happened in the past few days with you!

- I got festive "fairy" lights and hung them up in my room! I turn my lights off and keep these on. Feels like I'm in a dream and I always get so sleepy!

- I had all my midterms this past week and had been in a bubble of "Ow, too much information!" No clue how I did, only time shall tell!

- I went into Bath & Body Works and dropped of an application to be a holiday hire! Had a group interview and I could not keep my mouth shut or stop giggling. I really hope I get this job! So fingers crossed everyone! :)

- If you live on the East coast of the States you probably already know that we're getting Franken-hurrican aka Hurricane Sandy! It's supposed to be a doozy of a storm so I hope everyone on this side of the world stays safe! My classes for Monday and Tuesday have already been cancelled. Hooray! But that makes you wonder just how awful of a storm this'll be!

- Plants vs. Zombies. Why have I not ever played this game before?! I'm addicted and cannot stop playing. The zombies scare me to bits and pieces. BRAINS.

- I finally got to see Mihai (aka boyfriend) this weekend after not seeing him for two weeks. We made some homemade apple cider and it's delicious! I should grab a cup after I type this up! He also brought me my Sephora Friends & Family Sale haul! I'm so excited to share it with you all!

That's it for tonight! Hope you all are having a great weekend, stay safe and dry! I'm off to take a long bubble bath, catch up on America's Next Top Model and see if I can take any photo's for the blog as I cannot seem to catch the sunlight anymore!

What have you all been up to? Any fun parties? ;)

Boo! | Spooktacular Ghost Nails

Stick-on nails are all the rage! The lazy lady's go to for fine, fresh, and fancy nails! Or is it? I personally think they take way longer than just painting my nail's with polish (save for, the drying time). I have to size each nail perfectly before peeling off the layer's of transparent film, making sure they apply with no bubbles. Then you have to carefully file off excess nail strip, quite carefully to avoid tearing or pulling it. I even managed to stab myself with that little wooden stick! Don't laugh, it hurt! Haha, I need to stop blogging at midnight. My thought processes are not all there! I really do love these nail polish strips. Mostly the ones that have awesome patterns on them that I would not be able to create on my own, even in my wildest of dreams!  I picked these up at Five Below for $3 when usually these are $9.98! They were so festive for Halloween that I couldn't pass them up!
I love the way these turned out! They're so cute and Spooktacular! Only thing I didn't love was they didn't last me till Halloween! They were chipping and were complete off in about 24 hours. I'm not sure if that's because of how applied them or because my nails have been kind of sucking lately (silly cuticles!). Usually I have the best of luck with nail strips but not so much with these. I wish I would have known that so I could have applied them the day before Halloween! My sister got the same exact nail strips and hers have lasted and lasted; she even applied them way before I did. Booooo! Oh well, these are still fun to look at! I'll try and create some fancy nail art of my own to celebrate ol' Hallows Eve!

Oh, just remembered! I used the really big strips on my big toe nails, haha! Those are still well on, so hooray for festive tootsies! :)

How are you getting prepped for the spooky festivities!?

Wet N' Wild | Sweet As Candy Trio

'Tis midnight and what can I be caught doing? Blogging. What else? I've spent a good two hours high-lighting biology notes in preparation for today's midterm late in the day (wish me luck, I will seriously need it!). I have put up festive lights around my room that I got in the mail yesterday! I'm sitting in a purple haze of happiness. I'm so content right now (I seriously shouldn't be!). I'm so content that I  thought I'd review this lovely trio of colors from Wet N' Wild for you all! This trio is called Sweet As Candy and yes, the name was half of the reason I bought it. It just sounded so cute!
It comes with three colors (hence, the trio!); a slightly shimmering pink, a milk-chocolatey brown, and a shimmering 'snow' white. I love how the Wet N' Wild palette's always come with little helpful labels on the back to create a look and that the shadows are also labeled! When I was first starting out with make up these kinds of things were super helpful to me as I had no idea what was used for what! Wet N' Wild is known for their high quality shadows at a ridiculously low price. As you can see from the swatches they do live up to their hype! The pigmentation of the colors is wonderful. It's not as rich as some higher end shadows, but at $2.99, who's going to complain? The colors did fade throughout the day and by the end looked a little muddled. I didn't mind so much as by that time I was sitting at home in my jammies. Just something to note! These three colors create such a sweet, natural look that you can rock every day of the week with a bit of black liner to really define your eyes!

I'd give this Sweet As Candy trio two thumbs up for great quality for the price you pay. It's a perfect palette to start out with and keep on hand for those "I'm feeling oh so nah-chu-ral" days! I'm keeping my eyes out on the Wet N' Wild's Comfort Zone palette as I've heard spectacular reviews for it and I don't have colors like them in my collection!

What's your favorite trio/palette from Wet N' Wild?

EOTD | Show Off Those Baby Blues

Today is just now my dad. In any way shape or form. Nothing bad happened but I have been absolutely drained just from thinking about upcoming things that I'm going to need to do (Psychopathology quiz, Human Reproductive Bio midterm and 45 minute long presentation ... who can spend 45 minutes talking about sexual organs?) MEH. This blah mood has resulted in my going to my simple, yet very nice "everyday" eye look. It makes me look awake and my eyes just pop when I wear this combination together. So here are the lovely products which I have also graciously (LOL) reviewed (and raved) about! Well except for one! Click on the product name to check out the review!

I really recommend this combination of four products for anyone with light eyes who wants them to pop! :) My friend Julia bought Arena eyeshadow and she's told me that she really loves it! The right side of the picture looks a bit washed out by the light, so sorry about that!

So what do you all think? Do I look completely drained or bright as a sea star? Be honest, haha!

LUSH Haul | Halloween & Christmas Goodies!

I'm back on that flow of wanting every thing from LUSH, as is custom by now, every holiday season! I found out about LUSH during their Holiday launch. They come out with loads of new fantastic products between Halloween and Christmas. The dire need for LUSH usually subsides after Valentine's Day. So I bring to you a haul of wonderful goodies from their Halloween products as well as some Christmas-y products! The Halloween items were planned from last weekend when they were all launch. The Christmas-y products took me completely by surprise this weekend though. I honestly only popped in to get a Twilight bath bomb and a bubble bar. I had tiny heart palpitations when I saw the physical being that is the Bubble Beard in my presence. Here's what I got:
☆ Bubble Beard bubble wand
☆ Sandy Santa sugar scrub
☆ Twilight bath bomb
☆ Popcorn lip scrub
☆ 3.3 fl oz. Twilight shower gel
☆ 3, mhmmm, THREE Pumpkin Soaps! Don't fret if you think I've bought them all! I'm giving one away to a lovely reader over here: #SpooktacularGiveaway
☆ Enchanter bath bomb
☆ Melting Snowman bath melt (with a new/better scent!)
☆ Candy Mountain bubble bar

That's all that I got! All... I say it like it's not enough. This is enough to keep a Lushie happy for a week. I'm already planning on making a retro Holiday order online. They've brought back the Once A Year massage bar and I almost flipped a lid when I found out from someone on Tumblr. I've been hunting it down for ages (2 years, no biggie! haha). Also, I can't wait to go back next month when they've got all the holiday products in so I can touch 'em all and then continue to buy 'em.

As it's the end of the weekend I'm going to treat myself to a very uplifting bath with the Enchanter bath bomb. It's already begun to fizz in the bath and it smells delicious!

Hope you are all having a relaxing evening as well! Let me know if you've gotten anything from the Holiday products at LUSH! Or which ones can you not wait to get your paws on? :)

"Life is too complicated not to be orderly"

Quote by Martha Stewart
I'm a neat freak. There I said it! I'm such a neat freak that this is what I spend my Saturday's doing. You can say it, how sad, right? I always feel so good when things are neat and orderly. My desk isn't cluttered and I know where everything is. I had gotten my closet redone some time ago and all my bath/face products got scarily disorganized and I have left all the crazy boxes laying in my mom's room for months. I was so afraid of putting them in my room with no place to go, haha! I recently went to LUSH (haul coming tomorrow!) and thought it was time to reorganize everything because it was starting to give me a migraine. Can you imagine? Clutter in your living space, cluttering your mind. I cleaned out a drawer in my desk that I kept all my face and body care products in. Everything that was no longer needed got thrown out and everything else got a new home and I somehow managed to create more room, which is always great! I decided that I wasn't going to keep my body soaps in that drawer anymore as there was no room! I put them in this plastic bin that I used to keep all my bath products in. I covered all my new goodies in plastic wrap to keep them nice and preserved instead of the paper bags they come in. Those tend to get sort of gross after a while; more temporary homes for your goodies.

It cleared my head and I feel like I could breathe a bit easier now knowing there's a place for them. It's so odd to think of getting such relief from something that is such a chore to some! I spent the rest of the night at my cousin's 15th birthday party. I know I'm only 19 but my goodness, I remember turning 15 and it's odd to know she's that age. We're all growing up and to be quite honest, it's scary. We ate so much Chinese food and ended the night with Hocus Pocus. Such a classic Halloween movie that I'm sure they'll continue to play again and again, 'til I memorize every line.

It's midnight now and I'm watching SNL with Bruno  Mars and he's a lot better than I had expected him to be. Also, my sister showed me this vlogger named Jack Harris who makes these hilarious videos on JacksGap, sometimes with his gorgeous twin brother, Finn (gorgeous, twins, and brits ... yeah, we're in love). I've only seen a few with her but they're really fun to watch!

I think I'll leave you all with that for tonight. Just wanted to share some thoughts and things from my day. It was quite productive, at least, I'd like to think! How are your weekends turning out? Share some stories with me! Who's someone that you have been loving on YouTube recently? Have a fantastic rest of the weekend everyone! :)

MAC | So There Jade

It's no secret that I am sucker for any cosmetic color that is teal, mint blue, sea foam green, or any other variation of that sort! So it was no surprise when Tanya Burr (how many times can I drop her name in my posts?) used this in a tutorial or mentioned it somewhere and I skipped to the store to get it. The color I am talking about is So There Jade, a Powerpoint Eye Pencil from M.A.C ($15). It's a seriously smooth gliding formula that needs just a swipe or two to become an opaque mint/teal color. I'm pretty sure Jade is a more green color, but ... technicalities, haha!
I probably should have reviewed this in the summer time as we now seem to be getting into darker plums, reds, and berry's. I say we should but we don't have to, haha! I still really love to use this now as the weather can't make up it's mind and we keep switching back and forth from warm and cold! I've seen some people create lovely looks by covering their whole lid with this liner, smudging the edges and adding a bit of a deep blue in the crease. My personal favorite way to use this is lined on the upper lash line and then the lower lash line with heaps of mascara! The color is light enough to give you some vibrance in your eyes and make you look more awake (who doesn't love that?!) and it's still a fun pop of color without being a WHAM-BLAM-THANK-YA-MA'AM sort of look!

So what do you guys think? Was I late in the game reviewing this? Or something you may check out anyway? ;)

I Curl My Hair ... Aaand My Lashes?

Best Friend Says: "You do what with that thing? On your lashes?!"

Admit it, at one point or another when you were slowly starting to get into the beauty community, you saw this contraption and though "Never, nope, not for me!" I mean, look at it! A plastic death trap that looks like it could tear out your eye lashes! And how much of a difference can it really make? If I can be frank for a moment, even when I bought this eyelash curler I wasn't thinking "Hey, I can't wait to give this a go and see what it does!". I was more so thinking "Oooh, look at the pretty aquamarine color!". Hahaha, not my finest shopping moment, but I am glad I bought this. This one in particular is the Sephora Collection eyelash curler that comes in a multitude of colors. It also comes with a back up of rubbers (*blush) but I can't remember where I put them ... The reviews were decent and I didn't have anything to really compare it to, so decent was good enough for me at $16. Turns out, this eyelash curler is great! You can actually see a difference in eyelash curl when you curl one and not the other! Lashes with more curl not only look a bit nicer but it also makes it super easy to apply mascara. I think having an eyelash curler is a great staple in every beauty lovelie's make up collection. It doesn't even have to be a fancy Chanel curler or anything like that (unless you want to splurge a bit ;) cause we all deserve it!) The construction of each is basically the same!

What do you think of eyelash curlers? Which is your favorite?

Review: Benefit's POREfessional

There never seems to be an end to how many steps it takes us lovelies to enhance our gorgeous faces! Foundation, concealer, corrector, powder, and this list goes on! Unfortunately, those steps are still not enough to keep our faces looking flawless all day. I never thought I'd ever use a primer or need one. It's actually a bit rubbish to think of putting this invisible gel to help your foundation last ... isn't it supposed to do that on its own? Sure, but it can always use a boost! I bring to you an unexpected review of Benefit's POREfessional face primer. This is one of those primer's you get quite often as a sample at Sephora and I usually just toss mine away cause I thought what's the point?!
POREfessional is a cream/gel consistency. It's a bit oily coming out of the tube but after being applied to the face that goes away quite quickly. The cream/gel is beige colored and becomes invisible blended out. A teeny bit is good enough for you entire face; think 3/4 the size of a dime! Benefit says that it reduces the appearance of pores but unfortunately I didn't see that with the product alone. Only after I applied my foundation did they seem to shrink!

I find that the POREfessional is excellent for evening out your skin and allowing your foundation to apply smoothly (any at all! I've used it with three different kinds/brands). I find that it really does make my foundation last just that much longer. This product is a hit or miss with most people. Others don't like primer's in general and some just prefer other brands. I keep getting these as samples which is why I continue to use it, although it is rather good! When they run out I may dip my toe into NARS or Tarte face primer's as I heard they're good as well! One thing to note, for those with dryer skin, it does have this nasty habit of clinging to dry spots on the face. I don't know why that is but on unlucky days it does tend to look unpleasing. One of the only big downfalls of this product, I suppose!

I'm not blown away by this product, nor am I displeased with it. It's one of those products that you'll have to test for yourself and see how you get on with it. (I know, I hate when that happens!!)

What are some of your favorite face primer's to use?

#SpooktacularGiveaway

This is Halloween! This is Halloween!

So this weekend I went (ahem, ran) over to the LUSH in Herald Square to snag their lot of Pumpkin Soap. I know ... sharing is caring and what not, but not when it comes to this gorgeous, hunk o' soap! I grabbed three (which means I know have 5 pumpkins, giddy little me!), a baby Twilight shower gel (AMAZING STUFF), and an Enchanted bath bomb because the sales associate compared it to blood oranges and ... well I have a weird thing for blood oranges!

Anywho, I got a pretty big response on my short review of the Pumpkin Soap (that is until my blog stats disappeared, has this happened to anyone else?!) and it seems that a lot of you missed out or are missing out on this! Since it is coming to the season to be holly and jolly I thought I would spread some early Halloween joy and give away one of these gorgeous babes to one lovely reader!

A Spook-tacular Pumpkin Soap | LUSH Cosmetics

I have a very fond memory attached to this gem. It was a year ago that I had just finished my culture hour with LUSH Cosmetics and seconds later was offered a job to work as a seasonal hire. As I was filling out paperwork a kind, new co worker extended her discount to me as I picked up 3, count 'em THREE pumpkin soaps. I walked out of the store with delicious smelling soap and my spirits held high. I feel a surge of happiness every time I see this soap and it makes me so joyful when I use it. Pumpkin Soap comes out during the Halloween Season and this year it's coming out today, October 13th, 2012. I'm going to need to restrain myself from buying the lot! Pumpkin Soap is absolutely adorable with it's pumpkin shape and jolly jack o' lantern carved face. Despite the jagged mouth, it still looks like it's smiling at you! The scent of the soap encompasses the smell of pumpkin and halloween; the sweet wafts of spice and cinnamon. It's so much fun to use this in the shower. You turn all yellow (doesn't stain, I promise!) and your skin feels ever so moisturized with the scent lingering long after you shower! I would say this is a LUSH soap you need to have tried/have multiples of. It goes fast, and I mean super fast! I remember I came back a day later for more (I had given one of my three to my other boss as a gift for being so supportive) and they were all gone, and no more were coming!

Stop by your local LUSH or call them and see if they've got the beauty in their store today! If they do, run, run and don't stop for anyone, Charlie! 10 Pumpkin Soaps for you if you get the reference!! Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Maybelline | Volum Express Falsies Mascara

Do any of you watch Pretty Little Liars? Did you ever notice how voluminous their lashes are?! They are like thick, feathery beings, fanning out every time they bat their eyes! When I would watch a bunch of episodes in a row I would become completely enthralled with their lashes and then completely forget what was happening in the episode. I was on a mission to find a mascara that would give me, what I call "Pretty Little Liar Lashes".

Today, I bring to you that mascara. I have found it. I am in love with it. It's brilliant. It's Maybelline Volum (yes, without the 'e') Express Falsies mascara. It is the mascara that gives impeccable volume to my lashes that I thought I'd never even want. Take a look at the wand. I think that wand is what sets it apart from many mascaras. It's curved slightly in the natural curve your lashes have at the base. Brilliant! You'd think since out lashes aren't lined up like soldiers , all the mascara wands would be created like this! I think it makes such a huge difference in application cause it also allows your lashes to properly curl. There's also some bend to the wand which is really lovely, but I don't quite know why, hahaha! So you've got the volume and the curl, what more is there to ask for? Length, I guess, but with your lashes high as the sky you won't even need the extra! I'm absolutely smitten like a kitten with this mascara. I'm already looking forward to the day I can say I've repurchased it!

Have you ever felt that way about mascara or any sort of product; it performed and did everything you wanted it to? What's your favorite mascara at the moment? :)

NOTD: China Glaze Agro

Why can we never have a smooth transition from summer to fall? It went from 80 degrees to 55 in 12 hours flat! I'm bundled up in bed with fat socks, sweat pants and the softest t-shirt I own. It took all I had to walk two feet to my desk to paint my nails, and then take some pictures to share with you lovelies! The color I have on my nails today is Agro by China Glaze from their Hunger Games collection that came out in March. I was 99% sure this color was still available but it's not, sorry!

So Agro is a gorgeous, dark, olive-y green. It's got yellow and olive shimmery undertones, as well. I've been waiting all year to find a reason to wear this. It never screamed 'summer' and it was too late to wear it for 'spring', haha. I'm calling this the 'lovely Fall green' It looks great indoors and in natural lighting. The shimmers really enhance the polish. The formula is great; not too thick, not too thin. It's opaque in one coat, but as always I used two.

If you're at all looking at this polish and thinking "I need that and have nothing like it!" I suggest taking a look at Butter London Wallis. Butter London has a great formula and the colors are quite similar! Also, NARS Mash is like an exact dupe!

What do you guys think? What are some of your favorite green polishes? I'm on a look out for more!

[Upcoming Sale!] Sephora Friends & Family 2012

Strap in your beauty belts and get super excited!

What is it?  It is Sephora's Friends & Family Sale. Through an online link you'll be able to take 20% off your entire online purchase.

When is it? It starts October 18th, 2012 and runs until October 31, 2012. There's some talk on VIB's (Very Important Beauty Insiders) getting a head start on October 17th, 2012, but don't quote me on that!

Where is it? The sale is only run online but if your order comes to $50 + you'll get free shipping, so hooray! Also, I think it's only in the United States. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, please

I, frankly, am super excited for this! I already have a small list in my head of things I have been dying to get and will definitely use this sale to my advantage. I've compiled the wishlist into a little collage. Not quite sure why I incorporated so many spring flowers when it's already autumn, but ... yeah, haha.
Sephora Friends & Family Wishlist
  • Benefit's Dandelion Blush | It's officially Autumn but I am still so drawn to this light pink blush. I'm actually on a mission to collect every boxed powder blush from Benefit, so this would be another step toward completing that mission!
  • NARS Andy Warhol Debbie Harry Eye & Cheek Palette | I probably already have this in my hands as this post goes up. If you've read up on any reviews (there are a scarce amount, c'mon people!!) they aren't the best ... they kind of suck actually. I ordered this the second it went live on Sephora and was so heart broken to hear it was bad. I wanted to love this so badly but at $65 it wasn't even worth keeping as a collectible. SO... I'm going to return that palette and re-order it at 20% off along with my $10 gift card which would make it $42 and I am perfectly okay with keeping it as something to use and keep for novelty/collectible at that price. *memoir over* haha!
  • NARS Eye Primer | This eye primer is raved about and is great for oily eyelids. I've been lusting after this for quite some time as well!
Are you guy excited? What would go / is going on your wish list? 20% an entire order! You'll never find a better deal! Unless ... you know ... someone buys it for you ;)

UPDATE 10/17/12
Hey guys, sorry to disappoint but it looks like Sephora is restricting this year's Friends & Family sale to just close persons of the people who work there. It's tad disappointing to have 1.) been given wrong information and 2.) gotten so excited for a sale I had missed out on last year. There are some speculations of a specific VIB and BI sale sometime in the beginning of November but I can't say for sure. Nothing will beat a 20% discount for sure. I'll keep you guys updated as I hear things!

Pumpkin Caramel Latte: From Bedroom to Coffee Shop

Did I scare anyone with this font? Haha, my goodness it just screams Halloween and melted caramel! Is it odd that I'm reviewing yet another candle? Does that qualify under beauty or fashion? Come to think of it I don't even blog much about fashion! Well, I trust you'll all let me know if candles are not something to be reviewed, but I think when it smells this delicious it must be shared! This is Halloween, Everybody make a scene!

I'm going to come right out and say that if it weren't for my sending candles across the sea to Melissa (Melissa Knows Best) I would have never sniffed this beaut. It encompasses everything that is oh so sweet about the fall. Since you can't smell through your screen, allow me to paint you a wondrous picture. You are walking along the street with the trees above you becoming bare with still some green left on them but on the floor all the lonely red and orange and yellow dried up leaves are waiting to be crunched. You're in your favorite sweater, wrapped up in your favorite scarf because of all the crisp air around you. You stumble upon your favorite coffee shop (Starbucks, woot!) and get a wiff of all the new autumn coffee's they have brought out. You can smell the strong scent of all the melting caramel being added to the warm drinks as they are then dusted off with a dash of cinnamon, that you can lightly smell through it all. But then there's the smell of the decadent and creamy pumpkin, mixed together with the caramel and cinnamon. Suddenly you are dashing off to the counter and order yourself a tall mug of the delicious Pumpkin Spice Latte which you then take with you, sit yourself on a cozy couch beside a window and watch as the season transforms around you.

BAM! Simply put, if you are a fan of the warm and sweet scents that are always so fantastically associated with autumn you will have to check out this candle. I can almost guarantee that there will be another 2 for $20 sale at Bath & Body Works quite soon so you'll have no excuse not to pick this up. I know I didn't, haha! Thanks again to Melissa for allowing me to smell the sweetness of it!

So ... are you guys intrigued? What are some of your favorite fall scents?

FOTD: Got A Secret; Can You Keep It? (ft. MAC Love Goddess)

Welcome to Fall everyone! Break out your reds, raspberries, and black currant lippies! I sure have ;) Today I have a look that I recreated from the ever so wonderful TanyaBurr. I seriously love her tutorials, she's very clear and her looks are always wearable. This is the one from her Pretty Little Liars Hanna tutorial. I just swapped out her natural pink lip for this wam-bam-thank-you-ma'am lip from MAC's Marilyn Monroe Collection. You can find the video right over here if you'd like to see how she did this look! I'll still list what I used all over my face! :)
  • Dr. Jarrt ++ Waterfuse BB Cream
  • Urban Decay Naked Palette Shadow in Virgin
  • Urban Decay Naked Palette Shadow in Buck
  • MAC Eye Khol in Smolder
  • Maybelline Falsies Volume Express
  • MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium
  • MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Blonde
  • NARS Laguna Bronzer
and last but certainly not least
  • MAC Lipstick in Love Goddess
What do you guys think? Apologies for various breakouts on my face :/

September Favorites ★

Happy October to all you lovely mermaids! Can you believe it's already Octo-blah, blah, blah. Haha, you all get the jist, don't you? The end of one month and the beginning of a new one means it's time for monthly favorites! I've been mixing up a lot of my products this month so there hadn't been a lot to stand out as my favorites. So the list is short and here they are!

  • Lush Imperialis Moisturizer | My ever so lovely moisturizer that I talk about highly in my skincare post which you can have a look at here. I've finally repurchased it as I've used it down to the last bit (quite literally). It's the perfect balance between too little hydration and too much!
  • MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium | I've been loving this to set my foundation. It's finely milled and does what's in the name, makes your skin look completely natural!
  • MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NW 15 | Always on the lightest end of the spectrum, *sigh. I don't know why I've been using this so much. It's a tad drying which sucks when you already have dry skin. It does cover my blemishes and redness flawlessly though, so I guess that's why!
  • Maybelline The Falsies Volume Express | My new favorite mascara. It's all I ever reach for anymore! I never second guess which mascara to use and it's all I will use for quite some time. It doesn't clump my lashes, whilst curling and making them really stand out.
  • Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes Liner in 2L | I have a whole review on this liner that I did recently which you can check out here. I've been loving the pigmentation and just the gorgeous brown/bronze color that it is. Great to make light eyed colors pop!

My last favorite of the month have been my keys! I finally took off those little rubber color rings that have gotten super grimey and coated the tops with glitter! It's glitter, it's glam, it sparkles, and I'm happy! I can't stop whipping out my keys now just to show off the glitter and the key chain! If you want to know a little more about my Lush Cosmetics key chain you can read about right over here!

Let me know if you would like to know more about any of my favorites, and let me know what some of your favorites have been for this month! :)
