Blogmas Day 03 ❄ Sephora Instant Nail Polish Remover

Blogmas Day 3! Today's post is a review that is way over due. It's a review on the Sephora Collection Instant Nail Polish Remover and am I ever so glad to finally be writing this review. Sephora's Instant Nail Polish Remover is an unconventional method of removing nail polish, but it's nothing new to nail junkies. As the bottle states "it's magic!" Inside the bottle, once you've unscrewed the cap, is a gigantic piece of foam soaked in nail polish remover, which has a tiny space in the middle. Basically, all you do is stick one finger at a time into the bottle (which looks as dirty as it sound when you do it, but whatever, haha) hold it for about 10 seconds giving the bottle a few twists here and there, then when you pull your finger out, tada, it's completely sans nail polish! You can take off an entire manicure within about 45 seconds! It's absolutely great for anyone who likes to change up their nail polish colors frequently and once you've got this in your possession it seriously encourages you to do so more often, haha. I do have to mention that after a few months, depending on the polish colors you've been removing, it starts to get really dirty in there and then your fingers end up coming out colored (although surprisingly, the polish on your nails still manages to disappear, haha) It takes a few months for that to happen depending on how frequently you use it but it's only $9.50 per bottle so you're not really breaking your bank. Also, one last thing, even though I'd love to end on a high note, it's rubbish at removing glitter polishes. It'll remove all the base color and the color off the glitters themselves, but for bigger chunks, they'll stay put and take much longer to remove. So do I think this is worth getting? Absolutely. It's not a pricey product that's very effective at doing what it says and removing all types of polishes. Is it a bit more difficult with glitters, sure? But what would glitter polishes be if not difficult to remove, haha! It's def. worth looking into and if not this one in particular, I'm sure many brands make an instant nail polish remover like this!
What's your favorite way to remove nail polish? How often do you change it up?

Wishlist | Get Me To VIB Rouge

Sephora Wishlist
Happy Wishlist Wednesday! Don't worry, that's not becoming a thing just yet on this blog - I have a wishlist to share with you all and it just so happens it's Wednesday, haha! If you've ever been to a Sephora you'll know that they have a reward system called 'Beauty Insider' where for every $1 you spend a point is added to your account. 'Beauty Insider' is just one tier of their reward system - the second tier is 'VIB' (Very Important Beauty Insider) and to get into that tier you need to spend have spent at least $350 in a calendar year. I am currently a 'VIB' and get all the wonderful perks that come with that but now Sephora have done it and brought out a third tier called 'VIB Rouge' (how prestige sounding!) To get 'VIB Rouge' status you need to have spent at least $1000 in a calendar year. I saw that and thought, "holy cow, what?!" mostly because I knew I wouldn't be able to ever reach that tier. Turns out, I'm a lot closer than I think. I e-mailed Sephora and they told me I'm only 280 points (well 180 now, you'll see why) away from having 'VIB Rouge' status. I think I squealed, haha! I'll need to spend $280 (now $180) to get the acclaimed status of 'VIB Rouge' which comes with so many benefits your mind will explode (one being free shipping, always and forever, well, until your 'VIB Rouge'-ness expires) and a shiny red points card (which you know is the only reason I want it, haha ;) ) If you want to read more about it you can over here.

So loooooong story short, this wishlist is a compilation of items that I've been lusting after that are sold at Sephora stores, that would help me get to 'VIB Rouge'!
  • Yves Saint Laurent Babydoll Mascara | It's got a much longer name than that but I figured I'd spare you another essay, haha! I got this mascara as a '100' point perk in my last order from Sehpra. I saw the tiny little brush and just laughed. What was that ittle bitty baby supposed to do to my lashes? A whole lot, it turns out! It's separates and because it's so tiny it can really give you lift from the root of your eyelashes, so mucho volume and your eyes appear bigger! I'm one to always go on and on about drugstore mascaras working better than high end ones but I've fallen for this bad boy, hard.
  • Lorac Pro Palette | Who wouldn't want this palette? It's a perfect mix of shades to create a whole slew of eye looks, with a nice mix of matte and shimmery finishes. I haven't bought it yet because I've got all of Urban Decay's Naked palette's and can't justify another one, but I'm slowly starting to find reasons to need it, haha!
  • Dior Amber Diamond | THE HOLIEST OF HIGHLIGHTERS THERE IS OR WAS. Actually that's not true, I'm pretty in love with MAC's Soft & Gentle but UGH! The packaging, the shiny 'Dior' label, and just the softness of the finely milled shimmery product, makes it TOP on my "I want, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want ..." list!
  • Yves Sait Laurent Rouge Volupte Shine in Fuchsia in Excess | See? It's an essay of a name for a lipstick, haha. Anyway, I've been eyeing this lipstick up and down ever since I saw the ad for them in Sephora. The model on the ad was wearing it and it looked so gorgeous that I instantly thought 'I have to have it!' Some like blush, some like mascaras, but for me lipstick's are my kryptonite. I don't think I'll ever have enough, haha, which is why I went ahead and already bought this yesterday on an impromptu trip to a supper fancy mall in New Jersey! So this baby has gotten me that much closer to VIB Rouge *__*
  • Caudalie Beauty Elixir | See my thoughts on this annoying, son of a sea witch product here. I love this stuff and I hate myself for loving this stuff. I'm working on a small bottle of this but know that when it's finished it'll only makes sense to get the bigger one. DANG THIS STUFF.
  • NARS Sex Appeal | This blush is like a ghost to me. It's a gorgeous soft, pale peach color that really brightens up my face and I always think about it when my eye look is a bit darker or smokey. I actually bought this once and then returned it because my wallet felt too guilty for splurging when I knew I shouldn't have. I still want this, so much. I have absolutely nothing like it in my small stash of blushes and it would be just the perfect addition!
I would totally be honored if any of these products made their way into my collection to help me get into VIB Rouge. I've already gotten the lipstick so I'm that much closer! Also, my mom bought the Marc Jacobs Honey perfume (SO CUUUUTE) so that helped push me to only needing about 180 points. I think if it weren't for my dad buying a perfume/cologne for everyone he knew around the holidays, I def. wouldn't be this close, haha!
What would you buy to help you get to VIB Rouge?

Disney Collection by Sephora | Ariel Storylook Palette (Review, Swatches + Pictures!)

WARNING: This will be a long post containing an excessive amount of exclamation points and pictures.
This has been a long anticipated review if not for you all but for me! I've been excited about this product, heck collection, ever since I heard the rumors that Ariel may be the next princess in the crazy coveted Disney Collection by Sephora. My excitement grew even more when I saw the promo that Sephora released for it. In all honesty I just lost it. I was excited, and completely jealous that I wasn't asked to be the mermaid. This is an entire collection dedicated to probably the world's favorite and most famous mermaid, Ariel from The Little Mermaid. I, being a mermaid ;), couldn't wait to see the blues and greens used in the packaging and in the shadow colors! The last two collections (Cinderella and Jasmine) have been absolute hits (the Storylook palette's and compact mirrors, especially!) I was lucky enough to snag this palette when it was "accidentally" released back in the begining of June. The whole collection is now up on the website but I'm afraid the Storylook Palette, along with the compact mirror are now sold out ): But keep your eyes peeled in stores!!

This palette is the third volume of the Storylook Palette's in the Disney Collection by Sephora. In this big palette you get 20 wonderful shades of shadows (for $55) in various finishes that reflect the colors, things, and places of the movies. It's been a super big deal that there wasn't any inclusion of a red eyeshadow to represent Ariel's fiery locks and Sebastian's shell. I'm not to floored by it as I understand it's not the most practical of colors. It would have been cool to see but I honestly wouldn't know what to do with it. It would, however, have been awesome for them to include a bright yellow shade for Flounder. Marvelle, from Blog of Shadows, mentioned it in her review and I thought that that would have made a great addition! To make sure I properly review this for you all I've separated the review into sections. Nothing too crazy, just packaging and each row of colors! Not all the colors are spectacular, I will admit (even though it PAINS me to) and some are really fantastic so I'll go row by row and you can jump to the row that maybe has a color you're interested in! I won't be describing the color, as I'm rubbish at it, and I'll have swatches below of every color! I kept them very true to swatch :)

Packaging The packaging of this palette is bar-none (is that how you say it?) It's the most detail orientated package I've ever come across from the palette to the actual box it comes in! The outer packaging is so ornately decorated with the massive shell at the top, the seahorses to the sides and even the border around it all is decorated with seashells. The blue gradient in the background is just absolutely breathtaking, YES, breathtaking. Just look at the (massive amounts of) pictures below of the packaging. The back packaging has little Ariel's that depict the 20 shadows inside. Even the bar code is designed with a seashell and flanked by two mermaids! It's amazing! My favorite part is at the top flap that says 'dare to dream'. It resonates with me in so many ways!

The palette itself is crazy amazing to look at. It's got the tiniest of holo shifts when tilted up and down in some sunlight. It's completely flat but it does give off the impression of a glimmering ocean or the rippling water. That could just be down to the fantastic artwork! The front of the palette depicts the scene in The Little Mermaid when Ariel is wanting to be "part of their world" Girl, I want to be a part of your world. Anyways, haha, the surrounding detail is done in a silver-ish paint that depicts all her "gadgets and gizmos a'plenty" including her dinglehopper! It's so stunning and you can see the time and effort that went into creating it.

On the side there's a small, silvery tab that you can pull to reveal the palette's wonderful eyeshadows. You can remove the palette from the velvety box and use it as a keepsake if you'd like. I'll probably end up doing that when I've finished a good portion of the shadows! I like having the option of removing the shadows because it makes it much easier to hold!

Row 1 Shadows (Blue Lagoon, Scuttle, Flounder, Sebastian, Flotsam) I had no trouble with Blue Lagoon, Scuttle, and Flotsam. These three colors were very buttery to the touch and super pigmented. They lost some of their pigmentation while transferring to eye, but still looked nice. I wanted to really love Flounder and Sebastian. Both are matte colors and I find they're best at diffusing the brightness or darkness of some of the other colors. They're very light and definitely need to be built up. These two are also a bit more powdery which makes them hard to use besides as a blending color.

Row 2 Shadows (Seashells, Les Poissons, Caspian Sea, Your Voice, Unfortunate Souls) Seashells is a lovely shadow that's not too buttery and not too powdery. It makes for a gorgeous inner highlight. Les Poissons is so buttery my brush sometimes creates a bit of a dip if I dab to hard, but other than that it's nicely pigmented. Caspian Sea and Your Voice have somehow secured themselves as my favorites of the bunch. Caspian Sea is smooth and pigmented and so beautifully shimmery. Your Voice is pigmented but contains large sized glitters that would look beautiful if they bothered to transfer to the eye!! This one shadow is absolute fall out city so make sure to give this a good tapping before applying to your eyelid. Unfortunate Souls seems to be getting a lot of flack for being a "blah" color, but I love it! It's matte, albeit a bit powdery, but it's such a nice shade to use in the crease and decently pigmented!

Row 3 Shadows (Atlantica, Fins, Sick of Swimmin', Ursula, Shalala) I have no complaints for this row of shadows. Some do lean towards the powdery side but nothing a good primer can't fix. Sick of Swimmin' is my favorite of this bunch for the simple fact that it's got a gorgeous blue/green shimmer shift in it. Makes for such a unique and "mermaid-y" highlight. I've yet to use this all over the lid but I just might real soon! I also wanted to give an honorable mention to Shalala because that was a brilliant name for a shadow!

Row 4 Shadows (Triton, Wanderin' Free, Jetsam, Sea Witch, Treasures Untold) Okay, last row! I've got a bone to pick with Triton and Wanderin' Free. They are such wonderful shades that are pigmented and smooth but oh my lanta, why so much fall out? The colors are so lovely that I'm willing to work that extra minute with them but ugh, so much excess with just one tap of the brush! Jetsam, along with Flotsam are so cool because at first glance they look like similar shades but when swatched there are different colors pulled from each. One of them has a midnight blue and the other a teal and they're so fun to use with a smokier look! Sea Witch is a glorious purple that is pigmented and smooth, an overall great shadow. Treasures Untold is also a nice shade but I felt it was waaaaay too similar to Seashells :/

Is it worth it if you're a fan of The Little Mermaids/Ariel/Mermaids? Absolutely, without a doubt 100%, yes. There are so many fun colors to play with and the packaging alone will be worth it. It's a great collectible for anyone who is a makeup junkie and a fan of the films or mermaids. It does state 'Ariel' on the box, as it is her collection, but any mermaid fanatic will enjoy the silhouettes and all the oceanic detail.

Is it worth it if you're not a crazed fanatic? If you're not a crazed fanatic, but just a fan or someone looking to get a new palette I would say it was worth it if you're look to try some fun colors as well as neutrals. It's an overall nice palette, you can't knock the packaging! Some of the shadows are not up to par but some are above and beyond, so it's a real toss up. If the shades tickle your fancy then by all means, yet it's worth it! The shadows can get a bit powdery but nothing you can't work through. Just do you eyes first and then apply your foundation! Problem solved :) Now if you can't nab it, do I think it's worth buying off of eBay for crazy prices? Definitely not, unless, like I said above, you're collecting it, but even still - it's gorgeous, but let's not go into bankruptcy!

PHEW! That was a lot to take in, wasn't it? So ... what do you all think? :)

IT'S COMING | Disney Ariel Collection Exclusively at Sephora

THIS IS AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT. Not really, but boy oh boy don't caps locked letters get your blood rushing? This is a very impromptu and very improper blog post but the crazy mermaid lady in me is shouting in my head and telling me there's no way this information could not be shared! Basically, this is a post letting you guys now, and giving you a heads up that Sephora is gearing up and getting ready to release the third installment of their Disney Collection, WHO JUST SO HAPPENS TO BE ARIEL, WHO ALSO HAPPENS TO BE A MERMAID. I saw Leesha, or xSparkage, tweet about it (also in CAPS) as my eyes were shutting and in .5 seconds (that point .5 seconds that it took me to register what it was she was shouting about) I bolted out of bed and ran to the Sephora site. *sigh* It's not out yet! But for anyone who's been waiting, as eagerly as I have, and frantically checking their e-mails  for this installment of the collection, this is your friendly neighborhood mermaid, letting you know - IT'S COMING. Here's the promo video Sephora released for it.

It's magical, and I'm completely jealous of the model who got to pretend to be the mermaid. I'm so stoked for this release. I don't think I've ever been so excited, or more willing to part with money, for any other collection, from any brand. The attention to detail Sephora has shown with the other collections (Cinderella and Jasmine) was killer. They could have easily made these collections tacky and relied on nostalgia alone to reel in the dough, but no, AGH! Just look at that packaging. Both palettes and DEF. that compact are on my list. June 2013 (HOW CRIPTIC) is when it comes out online and August 2013 is when it'll hit the shelves of Sephora. June 2013? Would it have killed them to give us an ACTUAL date? They're probably really enjoying the commotion they've caused. Suffice to say that I shall now be even more glued to my phone, but now with credit card in hand everywhere I go. So yeah, thought you all should ;)

What are your thoughts? Excited? Indifferent? (THAT'S RIDICULOUS!) Will you be picking anything up? ;)

Collective Haul | Sephora, Bath & Body Works, Bobbi Brown, and Macadamia Natural Oil

Happy, slappy Tuesday, y'all! It's the end of April today if I'm not mistaken! Which to most is a signal of 1/3 of the year coming to a close but to me it means MY BIRTHDAY IS IN 2 DAYS! I know, I know, you're tired of hearing about it. By the end of the week you won't have to hear about it again till next year ... or unless I post a haul of goodies I got, LOL. Speaking of hauls, I have a collective one to share with you all today! I've been shopping a bit here and there for some essentials and not so essentials, haha. Sephora was having their VIB sale at the beginning of the month and I took that as an opportunity to get a full-size Urban Decay Naked Skin BB after loving and squeezing out every last drop from my baby-size sample. Since I ran out of my MAC MSF a while back I figured it was time to try a new setting powder. Originally I was going to go for NARS Light Reflecting Powder but my friend Julia recommended Tarte's Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Powder, which she said is a great setting powder for drier skin as it has some ingredient that keeps moisture on your face. I don't know, but I was sold and got it! Reviews on both of these are coming to a blog post near you so stay tuned! I also got my Sephora birthday perk which is a mini sample of Benefit's They're Real (love this mascara, and I'm so glad I've never had to purchase it as it always, always comes as a sample somewhere) and a mini Benefit's WattsUp highlighter, which I actually reviewed once and wasn't a big fan of it.

Bobbi Brown was also having a super exciting Friends & Family 20% off sale that my mom took FULL advantage of. Seriously, if Bobbi Brown makes it, my mom 100% wants it, haha! She kindly asked if I'd like anything (no doubt trying to spread the Bobbi Brown joy she is feeling) and I said no until I played with one of their lipglosses in a Sephora one night out. I ended up getting Bobbi Brown's High Shimmer Gloss in Bellini. It's such a gorgeous, everyday lipgloss with hints of silver and gold shimmers. I'm not a lip gloss gal, at all, but this one has virtually no stick to it. It's not goopy and you can barely feel it on your lips which I LOVE.

Then my ever so lovely mother surprised me with some sweet treat from Bath & Body Works after I dropped my *not-so* subtle hints about wanting some new candles. She picked up the Strawberry, Market Peach, and a baby Espresso candles (which btw, makes my entire room smell like a coffee shop!) I, like every other blogger/vlogger, love me some Bath & Body Works candles! They have the best scent throw and some of the most delicious scents I've ever sniffed! I didn't even have the heart to blow out Market Peach whilst taking these photos!

Last, but not least, are my Macadamia Natural Hair goodies that I managed to find in my Stop N' Shop (for cheaper, too!) I've been on the search for some hair products that would make my frizzy, poofy, dry, and curly hair look like I actually managed to do something with the mess. Macadamia products are raved and raved about on the blog-o-sphere and after some recommendations I bit the bullet (have you seen the price?!) and got myself the shampoo and conditioner. Well I THOUGHT I got the conditioner, turns out it's the leave in conditioner, haha! Woopsie. Still testing both of these out and the Leave-In conditioner is actually quite nice so I've decided to keep it. We'll see how I get on with them and then I'll be sure to put up my own review on the ever so hyped hair goods!
What do you lovelies think? Anything here that you've tried? What have you recently hauled?

Mini Haul | Sephora & Forever21

What's the worst thing that could possibly happen to a beauty girl not trying to spend money? Answer; all her skincare products run out at the same time! Usually my skincare products will run out a month apart from each other allowing me to spread out my purchases, but not this month! My cleanser and moisturizer were just gone and my toner is on its last little spritzes! So I went over to Sephora with my sister on Monday to finally pick them up. I didn't repurchase my ol' faithful LUSH Ultrabland Cleanser or Imperialis moisturizer because while I do love them, I wanted to see if there was something else! If my new products don't work out for me I'll most definitely just switch back to my old routine, but change is good, right? I also picked up two little extras that weren't exactly on my list, but hey! This is considerably good when you think about how much I used to spend! Enough blabber from me, here's what I got!
  • Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser | Since I wasn't going to stick with my LUSH cleanser I wanted to branch and try out something new. I used Spehora's handy dandy product finder and this one came up for acne/blemishes and blackheads. The reviews were all really good so it's got my hopes up! People actually saw their black heads getting smaller and less frequent blemishes, but only time will tell! I've used this three time already and the one thing that stands out is that it heats up!!! How cool is that?!
  • Clinique Moisture Surge | I stole used some of this moisturizer when I didn't have mine at a friend's house and it worked so well! It sinks into the skin quickly and moisturizes really well! I have had time to use this and the only thing I'm debating is if I should have gotten the intense moisture relief because my skin is quite dry and the cleanser is drying as well :/ May swap this one out!
  • Korres Mango Lip Butter | Okay, this was a tad cheeky purchase. (I can see why some of you think I'm English) I never fell for the hype on these lip butters as I have a ton of lip balms and butters. That was until my best friend got an entire set of these for Christmas and I played with them more closely. There's something so cute and fun about them! I got the Mango one because it smelled the best to me!
  • Striped Buckled Crossbody Bag | I didn't go to the mall intending to walk out with a new bag. I knew I needed one because my current one has a popped zipper and a teared out magnet. I have my Rebecca Minkoff crossbody but it's bright, neon orange so a tad inapropro for the winter. Anywho, we walked into Forever21 and I saw this gem and I knew I had to have it. I needed a new bag, I've always wanted this 'type' of square bag, and it's striped in blue and white! How nautical! I love it to bits already and can't wait to break it in!
A small, but very thought out haul. It feels good knowing I'll get loads of use out these things, so I feel less guilty for spending my money. If you've used any of these products, let me know how you got on! I know everyone raves about the Korres Lip Butters so it's nice to finally have one!

What have you hauled recently?

Sephora Friends & Family Haul!

Hey, hey! Tired of me yet? I decided I couldn't wait to put up my Sephora Friends & Family Haul until tomorrow so I thought I'd do it tonight! Can you tell that I'm stuck at home with not a whole lot going on? Yeah, I thought so. I think Andrea from (Andreaalamode) is actually on my blog right now editing my brand new, fantastic header for me (more on that soon), but hi Andrea! :)

You might have known there was a whole lot of hubbub surrounding the Sephora Friends & Family sale with a lot of people thinking they would be e-mailed about it. Turns out it was going to be super exclusive and a legitimate for "friends and family" sale. No worries, through a very generous worker at Sephora on twitter, I managed to get the code! Hope she doesn't get into any trouble :/ I actually got these a week ago but I had them sent to my boyfriend's house and just now received them! So here's a little look at what I got!
  • NARS Andy Warhol Debbie Harry Eye & Cheek Palette | SUPER EXCITED to have finally gotten this! I can't wait to show review this for you guys because you will just be shocked as to what I discovered to make this beautiful palette really work for you without any hassle! Though it is a complete glitter bomb! (I don't mind, of course ;) )
  • NARS Smudgeproof Eye Primer | Part of the magic! I've heard rave reviews about this primer and hopefully it works better for my slippery little eye lids.
  • Benefit Erase Paste | Self explanatory for those in the blogging world. A jar of miracles is what this is supposed to be. We'll just have to see! I wore this out today but didn't take a good look.
  • Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Natural Beauty | Someone said "pale girl blush" and I jumped on it, simple as that, honestly. Haha!
  • YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick in #12 Forbidden Burgandy | Agh, I am just in love with these lipsticks. I have one but it's too much of a "summer" color. I've been looking to get another "autumn" color, found this, and at 20% off I figured, GO FOR IT!
So that's all I've got to haul for you all! See anything you like? Did anyone manage to snag a code for the sale? I'd love to hear what you've recently bought! Reviews are on their way with the Debbie Harry Palette being the first! Can't wait to share it with you guys!

How Much Does My Face Cost?

Andrea from Andrea and the Beauty Blog came up with this brilliant post idea! As soon as I saw her comment with this idea I got so excited and made sure that the next time I wore my sort of 'everyday make up' I would keep track of everything! This is more of a summer every day routine. I'll be sure to do one in the winter as well! Now let's see how much damage there is to my wallet to make my face all purrrrty...

  • Caudalie Beauty Elixir $18.00
  • L'Oreal MagicLumi $13.00
  • Sephora Liquid Liner $11.00
  • Make-Up Forever Aqua Liner $18.00
  • Smashbox Eyeliner $19.00
  • CoverGirl 24HR LashBlast Mascara $10.49
  • Benefit's Hervana Blusher $28.00
  • NARS Laguna Bronzer $34.00
  • EOS Lip Balm $3.00
  • M.A.C. Venus Lipstick $14.50
GRAND TOTAL: $168.99

Consider my jaw on the floor. WHAT? Holy guacamole! This is even more of a reason for me to just stop shopping. This is for just one look! And a summer look that doesn't need as much make-up. Oy, I'm ashamed to look at this.

I challenge everyone to find out how much their everyday face costs them! Link it to me in the comments!

Current Cravings | June Edition

Current Cravings May
  1. Lace Crop Top from TopShop ($28) | First off, right off the bat, who wouldn't want a lacey cropped shirt? I saw this one as I was browsing online and just stopped and stared at it for a whole 5 minutes, zooming in and out. It's such a beautiful shirt that I can see myself wearing in the summer a lot with practically anything. With a flowing skirt if I go out to Central Park, with some shorts to go to the boardwalk and then a long sleeved denim shirt on top when it gets colder. I do mean I'd wear it with practically anything! I'd love to wear this to parties as well. It looks like such a comfortable fabric. I can't wait to go to TopShop and see it!
  2. Ro's Argan Body Conditioner from LUSH Cosmetics ($30) | Rose Jam has to be the most amazing smell to hit my nose since the Twilight scent. It's the most amazing combination of fragrances. You get the rose scent that has a mixed in sweetness to it that will make a rose lover out of anyone! This price for this product is steep, but LUSH never seems to disappoint with softening products. I think this would be the perfect product to use after shaving my legs to make them feel soft, smooth, and smelling incredible!
  3. Dr. Jart++ Waterfuse Beauty Balm from Sephora ($34) | I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE RIGHT NOW. I have heard only supercalifragalistic things about this BB Cream. And if anything bad has been said, well I just don't think I want to hear it. I have a Chanel foundation that I LOVE to use along with a M.A.C. concealer but in the summertime I don't want to cake even that onto my skin. I also heard that the BB Cream improves your skin while leaving a dewey finish, a light concealment, and does what my concealer will do. I MUST HAVE THIS.
  4. Chanel Precision Eye-Definer (Brun Cuivre) from Nordstrom ($29) | I've never been a fan of pencil liners, but I saw a makeup tutorial with a Bobbi Brown eye pencil in Bronze that was apparently a limited edition item and I was devestated. It was such a beautiful brown color! So I went on Temptalia to hopefully find a proper dupe for it because I needed to have the color. Lo an' behold, Brun Cuivre from Chanel fit the description perfectly. I'm gonna wait to test out the color in person before I splurge but I've heard that it is a great liner that doesn't budge or smudge! Also, having another neutral color that's not as harsh as black would be brilliant.
  5. Maybelline 10Hr. Stain Gloss & Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Stains from Drugstores ($6-$10 each depending where you get them) | Lip stains seem to be making quite a forceful comeback into the beauty world and I like what brands have done with them! The Maybelline Stain Gloss has been out for some time and reviews seem to be quite good that I wouldn't mind checking it out in maybe a natural pinky color! The Revlon Just Bitten stains are fairly new to the scene but they remind me of Clinique chubby sticks (which I do not own) but they are much cheaper so I would love to give them a go!
  6. H-Troser Shoe (Cognac) from Steve Madden ($60) | These shoes would be perfect for the summer time! I like to wear skirts a lot and sometimes ballet flats just don't cut it for some outfits! These are the first I found that are a pretty light brown color and a reasonable price! I've been admiring them for a while, so hopefully they'll be on my toes quite soon! :)
What are some of your recent beauty/fashion cravings? Let me know! Might be able to add some more to my list! ;)

Retail Therapy: Sephora & M.A.C.

In celebration before the day of IMATS my friend Julia and I decided to break in our wallets and shop around the city. What we should have probably been doing is breaking in our shoes. I still can't feel my feet. We went to Sephora and M.A.C. to get things we thought would be essential and something we couldn't get at IMATS. Here's what I walked away with.

Sephora
  • Benefit Watt's Up
  • Benefit Hervana
  • Nars Eyeshadow Duo (Mediterranee)
  • Sephora Collection Eyelash Curler (Aquamarine)

M.A.C.
  • 4 Eyeshadows in: Arena, Sumptuous Olive, Satin Taupe, and Cranberry
  • M.A.C. Wipes (30 pack)
  • Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer (NW15)
