It's always nice to have your favorite bath bomb or bubble bar from LUSH on hand for those days when you just needed a super relaxing bath. Well, sometimes that's not enough and you need to create a little cocktail that includes both a bath bomb and bubble bar. Oh yeah, last night was one of those nights and I whipped out my two remaining bath bits to create this sea-inspired mermaid bath. This was one of the bath cocktails I always showed to people when I worked for LUSH two years ago but never tried it myself. All you need is Big Blue bath bomb and the oh so sparkly Sunnyside bubble bar. Start the bath and let the water fill a bit before throwing in Big Blue (you could opt for half of each and still get the same effect!) I love, love, love the color the bath turned with this guy that I almost didn't want to chuck in the bubble bar, but alas, I wanted the sparkle. After letting the bath bomb fizz for a bath you can start crumbling Sunnyside under the tap to get max amount of bubbles! Et voila, when the bath is done running, you're left with a sea green, shimmering bath, with bits of seaweed to create the full oceanic experience. Now see, the bath was very oceanic but I don't think I'm a big fan of Big Blue (see what I did there? haha) You can't feel the seaweed during the bath but it's a pain to clean up and I wasn't particularly fond of the salty way it smelled mixed with the citrus of the bubble bar. So I seemed to hit the nail on the head a little to well with this mermaid-y bath, haha.
What are you favorite bath cocktails?
OH MY! I have never thought of mixing two bath products like this together.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, I don't think I'd ever want to get out of the bath if it looked like this. :O
Juyey xx
It's so much fun to concote different cocktails! You feel like a witch by a cauldron mixing a potion :D
Deletelove the sparkly colour! my dad loves Big Blue haha

He'd probably love this cocktail! It wasn't terrible - I've just never been such a fan of Big Blue, haha!
DeleteI love bubble bars from Lush but I agree they can be horrid to clean up - but leave a great smell!
ReplyDeleteThe bubble bar was fine but the bath bomb, phew - that was a mess with all the seaweed! Felt like I drained the ocean and all that was left was the seaweed, haha!
DeleteOh, yeah, I remember how hard it was to clean my bath after using that one! :D
ReplyDeleteHaha, never again! I'll stick to the ones with the little hearts that just slip down the drain!
DeleteOMG the bath waterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! It really really is a mermaid bath :D <3 did you flap around like a mermaid haha? xx

Yes! You can pretend you're a mermaid swimming in the sea :)
DeleteI love this bath cocktail too! I found it on youtube like last year sometime when I was really into Lush (was it you?!) and you are right, its a total mermaid bath! I'm not a fan of the seaweed either so I usually let the bath bomb fizz in a hairnet or mesh baggy or something so it collects the seaweed but you still get the colour of the bath :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, couldn't have been me, although bath cocktail videos are some of the most amazing!! Ugh, why didn't I think of that? It would've been 10x more enjoyable that way! Will have to remember for next time :D
DeleteOmg this looks amazing! I have never tried any bath bombs from lush! :O
ReplyDeleteI want to do this soon! :D
