Nightlife Inspired Look ft. Lit Cosmetics

Today's glitter look is inspired by the night. Lit Cosmetics' glitter in Nightlife in Size #03 makes the perfect blinged out eyeliner to sparkle up a night time look. The multi-colored glitters set against the black just make me think of a bustling city with all it's super bright lights- something you'd find in Times Square or o the strip in Vegas. Placing Nightlife on top of a pigmented black eyeliner really makes the multi-colored glitters stand out. Then placing that same glitter over top just a shadow helps add some subtle smokey-ness to the look, as well as shine. It's super subtle despite all the craziness of the colors mixed in the black that you could wear this to enhance a smokey look to go out, or on it's own for just some jazzed up eye liner. If you'd like to see close up swatches of this shade and the others in my collection, as well as my review on Lit Glitters, I'd suggest clicking here. Here's what I used for this look:

Summer Inspired Look ft. Lit Cosmetics

Today's glitter look is inspired by bright and sparkly color. When you think "glitter", besides being super sparkly, you always manage to think bright and colorful. Using Lit Cosmetic's glitters in Goober Grape in Size #03 and California Soul in Size #03, I went glitter bananas for this look. Seriously, I packed on so much glitter that I would blink and it would just rain sparkles. I wanted it to dazzle and be seen from a mile away, which is what I got. This look, to me, is the epitome of summer. Bright, in your face, and really fun! It's def. not one of the most wearable looks that I've come up with (my mom called me to move my car whilst this was on my eyes and I had to get my sister to do it, haha) but it just makes you want to smile. If you'd like to see close up swatches of this shade and the others in my collection, as well as my review on Lit Glitters, I'd suggest clicking here. Mermaid Inspired Look ft. Lit Cosmetics

Today's glitter look is inspired by my inner mermaid. Usually when you love mermaids you sort of have a secret (or not so secret) love and appreciation for glitter. So there was no way I could do a week's worth of glitter looks without having one inspired by the majestic deep sea creatures. For this look, I incorporated the Lit Cosmetic glitters in Peacock in Size #02 and Margarita in Size #03. Instead of putting the glitters over top of the whole lid I concentrated Peacock in the outer corner to deepen the look and used Margarita on just a small bit of the lower lash line to brighten it up and really make the look sparkle. If you'd like to see close up swatches of this shade and the others in my collection, as well as my review on Lit Glitters, I'd suggest clicking here. Champagne Wishes Inspired Look ft. Lit Cosmetics

Today's glitter look is one that's meant to show you guys how wearable glitter can be. Champagne Wishes in Size #02 is probably the most wearable glitter I own from Lit Cosmetics. I paired it with a natural and slightly smoked out eye look, as well as some kicking winged eye liner (you don't know how proud I was of those tiny wings!) I wore this out to dinner with my girl friend's and would probably even wear it out on a date. Champagne Wishes is a glitter that didn't make me feel uncomfortable or like I was a walking/talking glitter bomb. Although it was quite sparkly and obvious that I had glitter on my eyes, having such a neutral color paired with neutral shadows, lips and face really didn't bring too much attention it, which was great! If you'd like to see close up swatches of this shade and the others in my collection, as well as my review on Lit Glitters, I'd suggest clicking here. DIY Make-up Brush Holders (by MissGlamorazzi)

When I got nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award one of my random facts was 'I love DIY projects, only I can never come up with any!'. This is still true! I thought I'd share a DIY I found on MissGlamorazzi's youtube channel. It's a DIY Make Up Brush Holder! When I saw these I was amazed I had never thought to do that! (Isn't that always the case? haha) She takes empty candle jars (in the video she also shows you how to remove wicks and excess wax) and turns them into glittery brush holders! Instead of putting the glitter on the outside of the candle jar, she coats the inside with it. I thought that was clever because I'd rather have glitter fall out inside of the jar than outside onto my shelves. Less of a clean-up basically! I took 3 diferent sized Slatkin & Co. Candles that were pretty much dead and gone to create my own! I really recommend you guys check this video out! It was really fun to do as a small weekend craft!

Above are how my candle jars came out! I was little scared at first because when I applied the glue and added the glitter, you could still see glue marks all over and I didn't know if that's what was supposed to happen and if it would dry clear. Patience really is a virtue because it dried clear! I think they look absolutely gorgeous! All my glitters are Martha Stewart brand which I'm sure you'll be able to find at your local craft store. The colors I chose were amethyst, bronze, and aquamarine crystal! Instead of using them as make up brush holders (since two of them are quite small for that) I decided to put my lip glosses in the amethyst colored one, my NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils in the bronze one, and all my lip, eyeliners, and mascaras in the aquamarine one! So glittery and so sparkly!

What do you guys think? Will you be trying it out this weekend?
