Happy Sunday everyone! I am super excited to be bringing you all my first ever tutorial! I've had this written in my 'blog ideas' book for quite some time now and today, with nothing to do, I've finally decided to create it! It's no secret that I love Jennifer Lawrence. I think she's a marvelous actress and is absolutely gorgeous. I also love that she has hooded lids! Makes me feel as though we have something in common :) I hope you guys enjoy this step-by-step tutorial and let me know if you'd like to see more. I think I did a pretty good job of recreating the look! I'm in love with it and can't wait to wear it out on the town! Of course Jennifer Lawrence is beautifully bronzed in her photo so excuse my pale-ness in mine! Let me know what you guys think, any sort of feedback will be appreciated :)
Now, on to the tutorial!
Step 1 I wanted to recreate Jennifer Lawrence's flawless skin so I used a primer, foundation, concealer, and powder. You don't have to go all out like that if you don't want to. Do your face make up as you normally would and how you like it best.
Step 2 Apply your favorite primer all over your lid. Then take a golden/brown cream color and put it all over your lid. Blend it out with your finger and bring it a tad up into your crease. I used NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in French Fries.
Step 3 Take a golden/bronze shadow onto a flat eye shadow brush and pat it onto your lid. Don't bring it up into your crease unless you have hooded lids like mine. Then just bring it a tad into the crease. I used Urban Decay's Chase from the 15th Anniversary Palette.
Step 4 Blend out the edge slightly with a fluffy blending brush. Find a peachy shadow that has a smidgen of shimmer in it and blend into your crease with the same blending brush. Careful not to bring it up to high! I used M.A.C. Arena.
Step 5 Take any charcoal/dark brown color and pop that onto your upper lash line and thicken it out towards the outer corner. Almost create a small triangle that ends in the middle of your lash line. It'll create a smokey effect without having to worry about any blending! I used Urban Decay's Darkhorse from the Naked Palette.
Step 6 Take the same golden/bronze shade you used for your lid onto a pencil brush. Put that onto your lower lash line starting from the inner corner and about 2/3 of the way to your outer corner. Again, I used Urban Decay's Chase from the 15th Anniversary palette.
Step 7 Using the same brush, take a brown with a bit of purply or red tones to it and apply that onto your lower lash line from the outer corner and blended into the gold. I blended Urban Decay's Darkhorse and Toasted to achieve that color.
Step 8 To create the softness of the eyeliner Jennifer Lawrence is wearing I'd suggest using a gel liner. It gives off deep color without looking too harsh. Apply a thin line onto your upper lash line, making it a teeny bit thick towards the outer corner. I used M.A.C. Fluidline in Blacktrack.
Step 9 Now apply two coats of your favorite volumizing mascara and you're done with the eyes! I used CoverGirl LashBlast Fusion.
Step 10 No blush in this tutorial. Jennifer Lawrence's skin is perfectly bronzed and highlighted. Take your absolute favorite bronzer. Apply it to the hollows of your cheeks and temples to contour. Also, take a champagne colored highlighter and apply it to the tops of your cheeks. I used NARS Laguna and M.A.C. Mineralized Skin Finish in Soft & Gentle.
Step 11 Apply your favorite peach-y lippie. I used a mixture of M.A.C. Lipglass in Tour de Fabulous and MUFE Lab Shine in S2.
Step 12 Admire your golden, goddess-ness. Grab your camera and snap some pics because you're done! :)
