August Favorites ★

Every time a month passes by it's a little unnerving to realize how fast it actually went! August especially because now Fall is slowly approaching, school is starting again, we're getting closer to the holidays and we've essentially gone through 2/3 of the year in lightning speed! It's crazy! So as each month passes it's always nice to look back at the products that were you favorites! Here are mine:
I usually don't have a nail polish color that I'll keep on until it starts chipping, take the time to wipe it off, only to paint on fresh new coats. For this entire month I've been wearing Deborah Lippmann's Mermaid's Dream. It's a gorgeous seafoam green with blue glitters and smaller micro glitters of gold. It is a nail polish fitting the description of a mermaid to a T and I've been loving it! I have a review on it here. My next favorite has been Benefit's the POREfessional face primer. I never thought I would need one and never understood the point until I put it on for spits and giggles. Wowza, did this make any foundation I wore apply amazingly and even cover more! It made my skin look smooth and absolutely amazing. The little mascara spooly in the picture has only been a favorite of mine this month because I can't stop playing with it. I never use it for anything serious. It just entertains me while I stare at the mirror, haha! (Call me crazy, I know!)
My go to lip products for the month of July were EOS's Lip Balm in Strawberry Sorbet, which I have a review on here, and M.A.C.'s Venus Lipstick that came out with their Heavenly Creatures collection which you can read about here. The EOS lip balm gives just the right amount of moisture on my lips to have kept them hydrated in the August heat and make Venus stay on smooth and beautiful. No surprise that my favorite for this month (for every month, really) is Benefit's Hervana Blush, to know why and how amazing it is that only a review can show, click here. It'll tell you exactly why this is continuing to be a pale girl's favorite ;)
Don't worry, the next and final favorites don't have reviews up so there shan't be any links to click back and forth through (yet!!). L'Oreal's Magic Lumi is an amazing, amazing product for my under eye circles. It works better than any concealer or corrector I have used because it's that magical balance between creamy and liquidy! I've used it to the ends and am still trying to push out every last bit of it before I have to go out and by another (my first empties!!) M.A.C.'s Fluidline in Black Track has been a favorite of mine this summer because it never looks to bold with eyeshadow looks, is way easier to apply than a pencil and wipes off like a dream with a make up remover, unlike my other liner *cough cough liquid!  Now, finally, my last favorite! I started wearing this more towards the end of August and I can't wait to review this shadow for blue-eyed babes! It is none other than M.A.C.'s Arena eyeshadow. I know, I know. Wait what? Never even heard of that color ... Yeah I know, I hadn't either for a while but I'm so glad I have found it! It's perfect just alone, all over the lid for a nice peachy-orange wash on the eye. I can't even tell you guys how blue it makes my eyes look. I've worn it every day to school and keep getting compliments! That review will be up soon, don't you worry!

So that's it for my August Favorites. Was hoping to have this up yesterday but life got in the way and then my head began to hurt like there was a circus in there or something! I'd love to know what your favorites of the month had been! Don't be shy to link your August Favorites if you've posted it and I'll have a nosy!

Happy September, everyone!

    1. I'm glad to hear that! I like to make my posts informative, but not overly so! Yes, omgsh just get to your nearest Benefit counter and dab it on! I only say it's amazing for a pale gal because it doesn't over color my cheeks, but I can guarantee it'll look lovely on your skin tone as well (as I see it in your picture :) )

  6. You're hilarious with your mascara spooly haha. You're making me want to try the POREfessional now too! I remember the girl at the Benefit counter wanted me to try it one day when I was in a rush and she tried it on my hand and I was like 'okay thanks whatever!' but maybe I should give it a try!x
