Review: Caudalie Beauty Elixir

Stop! No! Please don't go any further! I'm so tired of hearing about this blasted thing! I realize, I really do I'm either going to love it or hate it. As is with most things! I don't need 20 bloody bloggers telling me what I really know!

Well, Mr. Pessimistic reader, you! If everyone thought that, you wouldn't have made that many educated assumptions about this product because no one would have written about it! Another review won't kill you to read. (Unless it does, in which case, I am so very, very sorry!) What's my point in writing this review considering you can google it and plenty more will come up!? I wanted to give my two cents on it because I've finally managed to form an un-biased opinion. By now you must know all the technicalities of it all so I'll just jump into what I think and how I use it. First off, unlike most, I love that pepperminty smell. It makes spraying it onto my face seem that much more refreshing and it is just that; super refreshing for the skin! It sinks in quickly and allows my moisturizer to do the same. Now, it doesn't do anything super amazing for my skin, if anything at all, not that I've noticed it! No increase or decrease in acne, although I think the redness in my face has gone done but that might just be my foundation, hehe! Most people say they won't repurchase it because of that fact. Why pay around $48 for 3.4 fl oz of something that literally does nothing! I bought the small one because it was cheaper as a tester (for $18, pshhh). Anywho, my point, unlike most negative reviews I'll say this, I will be purchasing this again. It might seem a little daft but I love the freshness and smell of it all. It may not do anything for my skin, but it does something for my overall morning routine that I just can't imagine finding another product that wakes me up and makes me feel refreshed. Maybe in the long run it will have better benefits for my skin, who knows? Maybe one day I'll find something else? For now, all you need to come away with is that I love this but it does nothing, haha!

What are your opinions on the Caudalie Beauty Elixir? Love it, hate it? I can never hear too many opinions on this product cause there are so many different ones!

Fragrance Review: LUSH's 25:43

Let's play the game Never Have I Ever! Alright, let's go... Never have I ever been so in love with a perfume. Well that's not true. I've been in love with many. So let's just say this is at the tippity top of the list of fragrances that I love! It is LUSH Cosmetic's 25:43 perfume that came out for their Valentine's Day Holiday line this past year. It's a very peculiar scent. You'll sniff it once and raise an eyebrow, sniff it once more and fall in love. Which is quite funny because this scent was created for Mark Constantine's (one of the founders of LUSH) son Simon's wedding day. The scent is sweet and then zesty. I know, trying to get your nose to even comprehend both smells at once is a bit of a stretch. Usually tonka is a smell I am in love with and this, no surprise, is a note in the perfume. The LUSH website states that there's also notes of lemongrass, vanilla, and ylang ylang to make it light and clean! It's a very personal sort of scent. It'll depend on your wittle nostrils as to wether or not you'll like this scent. I keep it in my bag all the time and spray every day when I feel I need a pick me up smell! This was supposed to be a limited edition scent but somehow it's still on the website and in stores, so who knows? If I've managed to intrigue you then scurry along to your LUSH and take a whiff!

If you've ever taken a sniff of this perfume, what did you think? I've known people to either love it or hate it. Would love to hear your opinions! And also, what are you favorite perfumes? Aside from this one I love Escada Taj Sunset but I can't find it anywhere. BOO!

August Favorites ★

Every time a month passes by it's a little unnerving to realize how fast it actually went! August especially because now Fall is slowly approaching, school is starting again, we're getting closer to the holidays and we've essentially gone through 2/3 of the year in lightning speed! It's crazy! So as each month passes it's always nice to look back at the products that were you favorites! Here are mine:
I usually don't have a nail polish color that I'll keep on until it starts chipping, take the time to wipe it off, only to paint on fresh new coats. For this entire month I've been wearing Deborah Lippmann's Mermaid's Dream. It's a gorgeous seafoam green with blue glitters and smaller micro glitters of gold. It is a nail polish fitting the description of a mermaid to a T and I've been loving it! I have a review on it here. My next favorite has been Benefit's the POREfessional face primer. I never thought I would need one and never understood the point until I put it on for spits and giggles. Wowza, did this make any foundation I wore apply amazingly and even cover more! It made my skin look smooth and absolutely amazing. The little mascara spooly in the picture has only been a favorite of mine this month because I can't stop playing with it. I never use it for anything serious. It just entertains me while I stare at the mirror, haha! (Call me crazy, I know!)
My go to lip products for the month of July were EOS's Lip Balm in Strawberry Sorbet, which I have a review on here, and M.A.C.'s Venus Lipstick that came out with their Heavenly Creatures collection which you can read about here. The EOS lip balm gives just the right amount of moisture on my lips to have kept them hydrated in the August heat and make Venus stay on smooth and beautiful. No surprise that my favorite for this month (for every month, really) is Benefit's Hervana Blush, to know why and how amazing it is that only a review can show, click here. It'll tell you exactly why this is continuing to be a pale girl's favorite ;)
Don't worry, the next and final favorites don't have reviews up so there shan't be any links to click back and forth through (yet!!). L'Oreal's Magic Lumi is an amazing, amazing product for my under eye circles. It works better than any concealer or corrector I have used because it's that magical balance between creamy and liquidy! I've used it to the ends and am still trying to push out every last bit of it before I have to go out and by another (my first empties!!) M.A.C.'s Fluidline in Black Track has been a favorite of mine this summer because it never looks to bold with eyeshadow looks, is way easier to apply than a pencil and wipes off like a dream with a make up remover, unlike my other liner *cough cough liquid!  Now, finally, my last favorite! I started wearing this more towards the end of August and I can't wait to review this shadow for blue-eyed babes! It is none other than M.A.C.'s Arena eyeshadow. I know, I know. Wait what? Never even heard of that color ... Yeah I know, I hadn't either for a while but I'm so glad I have found it! It's perfect just alone, all over the lid for a nice peachy-orange wash on the eye. I can't even tell you guys how blue it makes my eyes look. I've worn it every day to school and keep getting compliments! That review will be up soon, don't you worry!

So that's it for my August Favorites. Was hoping to have this up yesterday but life got in the way and then my head began to hurt like there was a circus in there or something! I'd love to know what your favorites of the month had been! Don't be shy to link your August Favorites if you've posted it and I'll have a nosy!

Happy September, everyone!

No Buy Challenge | Weekly Wishlist #05

38/100: I've been naughty. Super duper naughty. I bought some things *ducks flying objects* I was in a place of unhappiness and turned back to shopping for comfort and I ... caved. I'm sorry! It was just two things and I paid $44 for them but I'm returning one of them so it's like I only spent $18! Are you wondering what I caved to buy? It was a MakeUp For Ever Eyeliner in the color 2L. It's this beautiful bronze brown that when I put on made my blue eyes just pop and I couldn't resist! The other thing I bought was the Bobbi Brown Corrector which I'm returning because a.) I feel guilty that I bought it and b.) I feel so bad that I can't convince myself that I like it. So I've decided it's going back if I'm not completely smitten with it. I apologize. Here's what I've been craving all week and it is literally, at this point, killing me not to buy. [sidenote: I don't recall others having this much difficulty with the challenge, no fair!]
  • Benefit Dandelion Box O' Powder Blush | This color is so gorgeous for pale folk like myself. It lightens up your cheeks and makes you look like you have a healthy glow. I'm also on this weird mission to own every Benefit Box O' Powder blush because I think they are just so pretty!
  • Origins Well Off Fast & Gentle Eye Make Up Remover | It's so hard for me to make sure my mascara and eyeliner are taken off each night. A simple wipe doesn't cut it anymore. I've seen really good reviews for this (lightweight, no oil) and may give it a go after this challenge is over!
  • Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation | I've been looking everywhere for this this foundation. I'm convinced it's not yet sold in the United States. Which I find to be a good thing because then I would've had three things to be sorry for buying! It just sounds like a really good foundation for natural and awake finish to the skin. That, alone, has sold me on it.
  • Chanel Tigerlily Ombre Essentielle Soft Touch Eyeshadow | GORGEOUS ORANGE COLOR AND I WANT IT. GARRRRR.
As you can all see I am completely sane and this challenge has been a piece of cake for me and I urge you all to start because we all know that we have better things to buy than all this make up that we may very well never need and run on sentences are just the bees knees and ... *twitch

10 Day "You" Challenge | One Picture of Yourself

Tadadada!!! I've finally managed to finish my first challenge! Today is the final day of the 10 Day YOU Challenge and I am ending it with a picture of myself because ... well, it told me to! It doesn't say anywhere what sort of picture of yourself it needs to be or if it needs to be fairly recent. So I went through my pictures and stumbled across this one! It was when Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Pt 2 (what a mouth full) had come out and I was ready to go see it with my Gryffindor shirt, scarf, and Hermione's wand (even though I'm technically Hufflepuff!) I love this picture. It makes me all smiley every time I look at it. My hair is it's natural color in this picture. I miss it so much! I'm also wearing a bow in this picture. It was my favorite bow and I have no idea where I've gone and left it. So after this I am on a mission to go find it! Thank you everyone so much for reading and commenting on my 10 Day YOU Challenge. I hope you enjoyed reading it and learning more about me and that it inspired you to do the challenge as well! Leave me links to your posts if you've done them! Talk to you all real soon! :D
