Secret Starbucks #01 | Apple Pie Frappuccino

One of the things I really wanted to start doing on my blog was writing some sort of personal posts that weren't beauty related but something you'd all still may have fun reading! On Sunday my cousin was telling me about this strange (caramel-filled) Starbucks frappuccino she has and that it's not on the menu. What I ended up finding out was that there is a whole secret, under ground, Starbucks menu! I was instantly curious and looked it up. It's not even a small menu or limited to just frappuccinos! This had me thinking; I love Starbucks and am sure some of you enjoy it as well, so why not start a small series on this blog to chronicle my attempt to try every single secret drink Starbucks has to offer! I'm adventurous and up for trying anything and most of those drinks sounded seriously delicious! In each post I'd let you know what you should have your barista do (or how you may just be able to simply order it) and then my thoughts on it! You guys will have to let me know what you think but for now I'll start with the first one I tried on Monday and that was the Apple Pie Frappuccino.

A thing to note about these drinks, most of the baristas don't actually know about this 'secret menu'. So you'll just have to either show them or tell them how they need to make it because if you just say "Apple Pie Frap" they'll look at you like you've gone mental and wonder "Why God? Why did I have to get the nutter?!" The barista who helped me a few days back just took a look at my phone and wrote down everything she needed to add, so as long as they know what they need to do, they'll do it easy peasy! :)

For the Apple Pie Frappuccino, have your barista:

  • Fill up the first line with cream case,
  • Fill up to the second line with apple juice,
  • Add one pump of cinnamon dolce syrup,
  • Another pump of caramel syrup,
  • Top off with whipped cream and caramel drizzle.
This actually did end up tasting like a fresh apple pie! It was so delicious that when I took one sip and the barista asked me how it was, I practically shouted out "Fantastic!". I could taste the creamy apple, which was exciting and strange! I can see this being a better drink to have during the warmer months instead of in the freezing cold, but it was still tasty and a fun treat!

Is this something you would try? :)

  2. wow, that looks and sounds absolutely delicious! Don't even know there is an " underground" insider secret menu. I have always admired people who tell how exactly they want their coffee drink to be made. I'm the kind who is so impatient after a long line up and just ordered the simplest thing.

    1. I didn't admire them per se, but it always looked like so much fun (and classy) to order a super specific drink. I'll probably come across a barista who wants to pop my head off, but oh well, I'm a customer! I almost did that! My sister pushed me to just order it and sound very apologetic!

    1. These don't use anything a regular Starbucks wouldn't be stocked with it so it should apply to the them ALL even internationally :)

  9. Sounds like an absolutely delicious drink :) It's cool to be able to direct your Starbucks barista the same way you'd customise a drink at a bar.

I'm sure you can somehow recreate this at home (didn't even think of that)! But I still hope you can one day make it to a Starbucks so they could just make it for you ;)
