Review: NARS Laguna Bronzer

This bronzer is perhaps the most talked about bronzer in the beauty world right now. It leaves many of us wondering is it just a hype or is there actually something so amazing about it? It should be pretty darn amazing for the ridiculously steep price of $34! So is it worth it? Is it as good as every beauty enthusiast who has ever graced this product says it? I don't know about everyone else but my answer is YES! Holy cow, I cannot begin to describe how amazing this bronzer is. I've always strayed away from bronzers because I live in a place where people constantly overuse it and begin to look like oompa loompas. It's just safe to say that the people here give bronzers a seriously bad reputation. I never realized that bronzer can be used for so much more than just giving your 'guido face'. So why is this one so special out of all the other alternatives?

NARS Laguna Bronzer is just a soft, warm bronzy brown color that is just perfect for a pale gal like me. Bronzers tend to look really orange on girls with fairer skin tones if not for the right shade. Laguna is great if I want to give my face a nice surge of bronze color without making me look like overly tan. The pigmentation is stunning and the color builds like a charm, as well as blends out like a dream! It's perfect, and I mean perfect to give your face natural contour without harsh lines! Which is great for making my round cheeks look  more defined.

Is the price tag scary? Oh yeah, you betcha. Is it worth it? Absolutely. If you're looking to just add the most lovely kiss of color onto your face instead of big wet one, this would be the one to get. The right amount of color, with the right amount of shimmer. Sometimes it's necessary to make the investment to get a product you're going to love and know you're going to use again and again! I recommend this with the highest of regards (if that sentence makes sense! haha)

What are some of your favorite bronzers?

  2. I've wanted to try this bronzer but never had. I heard it was similar to ELF's dual blush and bronzer palette? :)

    1. I heard that too! I've never had the chance to try any ELF products but you should see and let me know! May be a way cheaper alternative!

  3. Great review! Is the shimmer noticeable on the skin?
I've been wanting to buy this but I already have two bronzers that work pretty well and I don't use them enough for it to be necessary to me to buy this one.
The bronzers I like are Benefit's Hoola Bronzer and the MAC Bronzing Powder in Golden.

    1. Thank you! The shimmer is so very subtle! I've heard only great things about Hoola! Maybe if I venture out into the world of bronzer even further I'll give that one a look! :) xx

    1. Same for me! I swirl and go "Oh no, I've used too much! I don't want to hit pan!"

Hahaha, I like to take the pictures in natural lighting when I can so by an open window on a sunny/overcast day. I feel like that makes the pictures true to color and awesome quality! :) xx

    1. Oh man, I can feel for you there. Same with me! I'm sure you'll love this because it's not to bronzey and just perfect for us paley to fake a goddess glow! :)

  6. I'm very tan, so I used to wear bronzer as my normal every day blusher, but now I've steered to a nice berry-ish blusher instead. I don't even think I'd know what to do with a $34 bronzer, I'd just sit it on my shelf and admire it!

    1. Haha, well I'm very jealous of your tan skin! Yeah, unless you super SUPER need a bronzer I wouldn't shell away that much. But I was in need of one and now can't put it down! :)
